Samsung is not android is a brand thats why it call Samsung android phone is google pixel android owned by Google only have one android phone is the pixel
I am not going to let go of my iPhone yet, but I just ordered the S24 to give it a try. For years I think iOS is convenient to use than android. This year Apple is clearly behind in AI technology compared to Google’s system. I want the new toys. Apple should catch up soon. The only thing keeping me with iPhone is the ecosystem. Because my work laptop has already been MacBook.
In typical apple fashion they will marinate on it for a bit and then introduce their own fancy spin on it later on. Wouldn't be surprised if we see AI stuff as a big feature in iOS 18
As an iPhone 15 Pro Max user, the Samsung S24 Ultra looks great. I'm just wondering for the AI features it has, is the processing for it done on the phone itself or is it offloaded somewhere ? If it is done on the phone, then that is very impressive. It finally catches up on CPU performance and takes the lead in GPU. Add up everything else and it has to be the top phone so far for 2024. I especially love that Apple is now forced to do something really big for the 16 Pro Max.
Much is on servers and will have a fee come 2025. And so requires an internet connection. Some is on device though. Also the S23U surpassed Apple’s gpu last year even but the CPU still a bit behind especially single core. My 13P gets a similar single core score on Geek6 compared to the one video I watched of the S24U. Also does it have more cores than the A17? If so, that’s a little less impressive that it just barely caught up to Apple’s offering but if they are equal core count then I am happy to see it. Been waiting for a few things to catch up or surpass Apple before I possibly (perhaps it’s probably at this point) go back to Android after many years.
Modern tech is so good that even base model phones are more than sufficient for most people. There is a small niche of people that are going to regularly use the high end features of pro phones. The great thing is that we have options available, which is a win for everyone.
I totally agree. I got a s23 ultra for a year now and it's my first flagship note device ever all i can say is I'm blown away and not shocked about the s24U being good as well. Definitely not upgrading
@@sercan272727 People do kinda underestimate the value of good and loud speakers on phones when most people nowadays spend so much time, it's almost just a given and you kinda forget about it.
Mic is important but speakers not that much. Most people use headphones for listening to music, calling, without mentioning that nobody use speakers in public.
Both phones are great. Just comes down to OS preference I think. Same thing every year though. Once Apple comes out with its next iPhone in September, then it will beat Samsung. Then in this time next year, Samsung will win. It’s a never ending cycle until there’s a new category that we will move onto next. Whether that will a mixed reality headset or not. Im more excited for that than anything.
Phones at this point are mostly just a os and design preference thing, money too obviously and maybe a few other things you could argue like support, repeatability, etc. Either way, you're definitely not missing out on much from one phone to another and an extra 5% or 10% of performance isn't gonna make the whole difference especially when next year's phone is most likely just gonna push past that anyways. That's also besides the fact that probably 90-95% of people don't upgrade their phones more often than 2-4 years or more.
You are becoming a reviewer finally Max; that's nice to see. Its possible to prefer an iPhones while still being practical and unbiased when reviewing Android and I think you are getting there.
@@Hajile97 Bro what are you thinking? The S24 Ultra beat the 15 pro Max on almost every single parameter. Battery, phone speed, screen quality, camera quality, camera zoom, literally any parameter you can think of the S24 is on top 🤣
@@Peter-jo6yuLol, definitely doesn't beat the 15PM in camera quality, I actually own both, and the 15PM video is still far superior, and they both trade blows in stills. What's not being said is, even the the S24U wins the 3D Wildlife test, if you actually load Genshin on both phones, the 15PM is much smoother, and has better graphics, and that's due to better optimization for iOS. I love my S24U, but it definitely doesn't do everything better than my 15PM...
As an Apple Fanatic for years, i can genuinely says the S24 Ultra and One Plus 12 has excellent hardware and software , and sways me to get either vs an iPhone 15 PM
left iPhone for Samsung in 2018 and currently on S23 Ultra. iOS is has been a long-in-the-tooth, restrictive, unimaginative platform and I don't need imessage or facetime to for my day-to-day communication. I'm in a mixed ecosystem too - macOS hardware is the only Apple product I own (and will ever) and fits with my other Windows and Android devices.
I think if you are not locked into the Apple ecosystem, it would be a nice change and it really is a fun phone to play with. A lot more customization, AI features, best-in-class screen, and very good camera.
This is a great device no doubt. Now they just need top notch tech in all the other areas. Watch, headphones, tablet, market, etc. Until all bases are covered Apple will dominate.
@Mattism78 Samsung has a desktop type OS mode in their tablets, Their watches are the second most sold smartwatches, Their headphones sound better than Airpods, but ANC sucks. You can connect Samsung devices with Windows and even MacOS now, for the ecosystem features (limited on MacOS ofc). They are privacy focused (as long as you don't use any Google apps or services) and also uses their own in-house security chip, Knox, for security. I think they are almost there!
Love how Samsung is accused of copying Apple because of being Grey and having pull tabs on the box. Samsung used titanium first, so Apple is copying them. This is an absurdly biased review.
The S24 Ultra is faster in Ray Tracing test due to the vapor chamber cooling system in the device. When would Apple put a cooling system in their device instead of relying solely on the chipset that obviously has no cooling capability to prevent it from heating up.
I have the s24 ultra. Its a beast . Tbh you cant go wrong with any of these devices. They all rock. Video id still give the edge to the iphone. That being said, the galaxies auto slow mo is out of this world!
I’ve been an Android user ever since. I really wanted to switch to iphone to see what it is all about. Nov last year i was finally able to buy an iP15 ProMax. But i dont think iphone is for me. It’s a good phone, runs smoothly. Powerful, great camera. But i think it’s too restrictive. And too limited. There’s very little “Pro” about this phone. Even the native camera app is very simple and limited. You can’t even do scheduled text. Even editing a text message is cumbersome. Forget about multitasking. iPhone is good but its actual usage is very limited compared to Android phones like the S24 series.
Please if you're planning on getting the 24 ultra.. I've never used an iPhone before and I can't afford one either cause of it cost Can I get the old one once you made a new purchase
I have the 15PM, and i love it, but i also got the S24U a couple of days ago, and i love that one too for different reasons. I've been a long time user of the Notes then onto the Ultras as well as the new iPhone each year. They run pretty much neck and neck for me. No clear winner. I do prefer iOS still. It's still more aesthetically pleasing and better user experience. For content viewing and design, the S24U for sure. Can't go wrong with either one.
@@Lolllllllllllllllllllzzzzzzzzz I made the switch overall I just like this phone better than the 15pm only thing better is some mobile games are better optimized and. The iMessage/FaceTime experience is just better than anything on Android other than that I don't miss anything from the iPhone
@@Mrknownoting. literally every single parameter on the s24 ultra is better than the 15 pro max. Display, performance, battery life, camera quality, camera zoom, s pen...
Should mention that now the S24 comes with 7 years of OS and security updates that should help the resale value and puts them up there with Apple & Google.
I have an iPhone 14 Pro with 94% battery health after a year, which has poor battery life, scrolling stuttering and other annoying bugs. Should I trade in to the 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max or wait for the 16 Pro?
@@ForestGreenary Ok, thanks! Would you choose the 16P or 16PM coming from a regular 14P? The 16P is rumored to have the same 5x as the 16PM, while the only differences are screen (6.3 vs 6.9 inches displays) and battery sizes like before. I like the compact pro sizes but the pro max have much better battery life with the 14,15 series.
your iPhone 14 Pro is doing pretty well . i have a iphone 15 pro max 1 year old . 91% battery health . to be honest I'm happy with that I don't worry about it too much . The cost of a new battery in around 3/4 years time doesn't really cost that much. it's no different than having to buy a new batteries for your car every four years . That's the way I look at it ...
@@Joshua-oo1og You right LOL I’m just hoping . With Galaxy ultra getting better and all that eu stuff going on against Apple , like making them change to usb-c can be good for us consumers .pressuring Apple is the only way they will add more updates to there iPhones
@JuicemaneeLol that was a funny response. It's like you're hoping, but you have no hope 🥲😂 AFAIK even 16 standard is will still be 60Hz so I don't think they'll be doing much about most of the other things, in chip department however once Oryon cores drop things will be even crazier 💀
I would love to see you guys test the speed of the USB-C ports on phones. Would be interesting to see which is faster at exporting files to an external ssd.
just a quick message for the RU-vid channel . Great video by the way keep up the good work I always love watching your videos as she put so much effort into them. thanks 🙏 ❤
You know Samsung's done well when Max Tech come to a conclusion like this 😅 On the zoom comparison its a bit sneeky to only test the at 5x zoom as both will be 12mp as standard and of course pretty comparable. Zoom both to 10x or put the S24U in 50mp mode and there will be a difference 😉
@@danielbergodb I follow as well but I strongly weight their opinion based on this fact. Anyway the fact they were somehow in difficulties rating this phone, make me believe it's very good and I am thinking to switch as soon as I can find a good deal. iPhone and iPad are great products but they have become so boring to me.
Had iPhones up to the 13 pro and just got the S23 ultra, all I can say is I’m very impressed! If the iPhone 16 doesn’t impress I can see myself buying the S25 next year! Still love my iPad Pro though 😂
I'm right there with you. I love my iPad Pro ( 3rd Gen ) and it's now the only device from apple that I own. Love my Gaming PC, Surface Pro tablet and Samsung phones. I would love to upgrade my iPad, but there just hasn't been enough to sway me and honestly, if the rumors of the price jump are true, then I won't bother. Just not worth doubling the price.
@@Sierra-Yankee Do you not care what he's doing with them afterwards and how much extra waste and garbage buying new electronics every year does the world? Probably not..
Got my 15 Pro Max on December and this is my first ever iphone, and i can say the phone is good as it should be cause its expensive but im getting bored of it within just 1 month.
Great review, I still find my s22 ultra an awesome phone so have delayed upgrading. It will be interesting to see how low light photography has improved on the S24. I still think the iphone takes great shots, but prefer android for my phones, and apple for my computers. I look forward to a review comparing the s22 s23 and s24 as plenty of people will still be using these excellent phones.
Apple has been in trouble with the iPhone for a while. I couldn't believe how bad it was when I turned in my S21 Ultra on the 14 PM when it was still running iOS 16. That being said, iOS 17 fixed many problems (primarily the swipe typing and the voice recognition) but the hardware was still not even in the ballpark of the S21 Ultra. I was dumbfounded at how bad the cameras were in comparison, and that was a newer iPhone and an older Samsung. However, I am expecting that the 16 Ultra or PM, whatever they wind up calling it, is going to level the playing field again.
All these features are nice, but shutter lag makes this phone useless, trust me. Especially for those switching from Iphone. 7 years of blurry pictures of moving subjects and I had to say goodbye to Samsung, enough is enough. At least try S24U before you buy it, try taking picture of kid, pet (especially indoors)
I loved the expandable storage now that they lost that I'm sticking with my s20ultra for as long as I can. That's the reason I left iphone. I do allot of data transferring and being able to pop out a memory card was a huge win.
Both seem great. I’m an Apple user, but I think the dumbest thing g in the world is how people judge someone so much based on their phone choice. It’s not that serious bro😂
Currently have the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the S23 Ultra. Was thinking about getting the S24 Ultra, but I think I will wait till the S25 Ultra comes out. I will be upgrading to the iPhone 16 Pro Max this year. I will have the best of both worlds around the end of this year, can’t wait. Both phones are the best!! ❤
People still don’t understand that those phones can’t and mustn’t be compared, They have completely different softwares. The comparison is meaningless.
Not a bad review, but I think you're really biased to the S24 when it came to the photos. Almost every photo you showed I thought was better on the iPhone. I will say though the competition is good and the s24 does look like they did a really good job with this update. I'm hoping it encourages Apple to make the iPhone 16 ultra that much better! I'm really looking forward to upgrading to a iPhone 16 ultra this year.
Likewise, I think you're really biased to the iPhone. The irony of you touting your personal opinion to try to invalidate someone else's personal opinions.
Not bias, just being honest. Both phones take absolutely phenomenal photos, but the iPhone generally beats out the S24 when it comes to regular daily use, where as the S24 beats out the iPhone when it comes to niche photography that you’re not taking every day. If you haven’t seen it already, go watch this video and you’ll kind of see what I’m talking about. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-btmeie5A4yE.html
Looks fantastic. The only hesitation for me is the fact that I am a Mac user, which I will not move away from. There seamlessness of how the iPhone works with my iMac is a benefit. Not sure how switching would impact me.
Apple is falling far behind the competition. They really need to up their game with the 16PM. I have the 13PM now and will probably switch to the S24 Ultra.
Apple copies Android features so late that people forget that was a copy lol! At least 5 years gap precise. AMOLED, Type C, Widgets, AOD, Dual SIM support and the list goes on. Apple and its iSheeps are on another level😂
This is quite accurate "anything they can do we can do later".....or possibly never🤣 Being able to position icons will get a mention if it happens🤦♂️ like the first GUIs had that I'm sure 🤣
5:45 maybe your iphone's memory has not enough space. i have tried the same SSD test on my 15 pro max 256GB and it has (1500mb/s READ) & (1376mb/s WRITE) speeds
As much as I like the new features in the S24 ultra, it’s hard to switch for me. I’m not a fan of the Galaxy watches after trying out the watch 5 with the s22 and watch 4 classic with the s21 ultra and even the pixel watch with the pixel 7 pro. Having the watch ultra with the 13 pro max is still king. Even though I still contemplate on switching to the 15 pro max but more than 2 years in and battery health is 89% is killer
Im using iphone and sold my ap watch s9 and bought amazfit balance and I love it. I also had galaxy watch before when I had samsung phone but they are just useless😊
I second this. Their watches are so "beta". Just a few apps and overall feel immature products when it comes to productivity. BUT: they are perfect, superior to apple's for health monitoring purposes.
Samsung has been ahead of Apple in hardware for years. So the SoC on paper and in artificial tests is not as fast (or wasn’t until now) didn’t make the Samsung less. I am in the Apple ecosystem, and am a current iPhone 15 Pro Max user, but the Galaxy S24 Ultra is unquestionably a better phone hardware wise, and Samsung does a FAR better job optimizing the user experience for a large display, like multitasking split screen, the included S-Pen, etc. Apple has gotten lazy, period.
Compare: S-pen, DEX, widgets, multi-tasking, mulit-window, themes, AI, fast charging, fast wireless charging, reverse wireless charging. Compare these on the Iphone and de S24 Ultra.
I think you can only compare the S24 Ultra with Apple when the iPhone 16 Pro Max is released, it is normal now that Samsung is ahead. the s24 ultra is a very nice smartphone.
Definitely. Let’s see if Apple steps up come September or October this year. Competition is great for the consumer. Let’s see if the S24 forces Apple to really make tremendous upgrades on their next installment of the iPhone
The feature update list is gonna 🤯ing then 🤣 Complete notifications overhaul, multitasking, interoperability across devices and brands, Desktop mode and associated feature set to mention just a few. But my guess is peeps gonna wet themselves being able to position icons where they wish 🤷♂️
I have the whole Apple ecosystem and the AI alone makes me want switch. The fact that my 5 year old Alexa dot is better than Siri is just wild. They really need to get it together.
You know what's funny? The Google assistant was so smart even before AI that it kinda felt like using modern AI. Siri is so bad, I can't believe people are even able to use an iPhone sometimes. I love a lot about iphones, but siri needs to get better before I switch over. I like WANT to use an iPhone, and I just can't justify it due to what I lose switching from android which just does more....
Yet another thing that doesn't get mentioned in these reviews. It's like the whole OS experience is skipped over for benchmarks and pixel peeping now that iOS is so far behind in multitudes
@ahmadafnan3756 no it happens every time they release a new phone and not only with Samsung, Apple have the same thing. Tech companies releasing new product and most of new releases have software issues and the only way to properly test it - to give it out to masses and after that fix this issues with updates. Thats how it works nowadays if you didn't notice
Of all the metrics you test, for me the one I would be most interested in is battery life, and yet it isn’t mentioned. When upgraded from a iPhone XS Max with new battery to an iPhone 15 Plus the thing I immediately noticed was the 15 was ending the day with over 60% of battery life remaining. Perhaps the Samsung is far better but we wouldn’t know. Maybe those 2500 nits is going to come at a cost.
Its neck and neck rlly i saw like 7 tests where 5 was s24 u and 2 was iphone, s24 u drains more battery in recording videos while iPhone drains more at social medias like you tube and instagram
People always talk about how Samsung copied Apple but guys: this s24 ultra was designed months BEFOFE the iphone was released. Don't be silly. It takes companies longer than a couple of months to design and manufacture a phone.
I am currently using an iPhone XR, and I was planning to switch to the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year. However, the frustration of iPhones falling behind in performance compared to Android is significant. Because of this, I will wait for the iPhone 16 series.
@@watpul exactly I have had every Samsung since the S1 and the software on my iPad Pro is 20 times better than android android could literally be three times faster and better in every way but because of that awful software it can’t compete with Apple it’s not android or Samsung fault. It’s just a developers can’t optimize properly for thousands of different devices versus just a handful of iPhones. So this is not an argument and it is not debatable. The optimization on Apple is next level and apps work way better and pretty much everything else works way better. With that said, I still think Samsung slab phones are better just because I don’t really use any apps on my Samsung. I usually use the Camera GPS and stuff like that so I’m not playing games on it/using social media etc
The performance of the s24 ultra is good but in camera Wise it's not really great, so an update should fix that issue, but at least S24 ultra do not have heating issues like the iPhone 15 pro max when it first release, battery draining problems and glitches. Thanks to the iOS software update it fix all that issue for the iphone, because that was a major problem but in Samsung wise a small problem is a software update for the camera, so max that should help to give better pictures and zoom quality for the s24 ultra, so just wait for the update that way the camera will be better by taking pictures and having good photo quality.
Yes I have also thought the camera could be better. I'm coming from pixel 7pro and to be honest, at least at the moment, my pixel camera photos are easily more pleasing.
Dear Note 9 we have been together for almost five years & you been good to me. We traveled around the world multiple times. We close many deals together and because of you I was able to stay in contact with many new friends and family from around the world. Did many video calls and got closer to people emotionally because of you. You were definitely there when I needed you the most. Time to upgrade to S24 Ultra and i see you will arrive today. Will miss you note 9. ♥🙏♥🙏
@@AnthonySmith-x5zby the time apple releases something similar android will have already made it ok if not better than whatever apple releases, because android would have had way more time to mess with it and see what works
I've used and owned every Samsung S since the S2 and this is the first time I've kept a Samsung phone. I've even returned every note. I'm even contemplating leaving apple. This s24 is just too good simply because of the form factor display size Ai features and oneui6
That's taking Apple's mantra "anything they can do we can do later" to the next level. You could go back in time to when phones first let you position an icon or something 🤣
Magsafe cases or accessories damages the S22/S23/S24 Ultra S-Pen functionality in long term ussage, making the phone unable to detect/chargemthe S-Pen for wireless S-Pen functions. It does not damge the pen but the phone internals.
Apple PAID Fanboy reviewing Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus. And here's the FACTS: "APPLE copied more from SAMSUNG for years, as they were always 1ST to challenge themselves in adding features others don't have."
I wonder if Apple would be in a stronger position here if they’d not put so much of the iOS 17 effort into their malicious compliance with the EU Digital Markets Act. Maybe just spend the time working to make the product better instead rather than go to all this effort to maliciously comply with the law.
Now this is a great video! Hats off to you guys! But I don't think Samsung put enough effort into the rear cameras. I also think the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max will beat the S24 Ultra, with its upgraded sensors! I really like the Samsung, but I think I'm going to be disciplined, and I'm going to wait for the iPhone 16 Pro Max!♥️
