Vince Gill for President... Amen... God has blessed you with a good heart, spirit and your musical talent. 🙏 I'm just kidding about the Presidency though. I wouldn't want you in such an unstable environment. You are too valuable...
I MET VINCE GILL, What a nice guy! We were traveling through the Carolinas in 1993 or 94, we stopped at a diner somewhere down there. A bus was parked outside. We knew it as a Musician, but didn't really know who. When we went in, sat down, and he and his band were sitting right there. OMG, I was 33 at the time, I had just begun to get interested in Country Music, my husband said, " There is that guy you like", I SAID WHO???? Then I saw him, my girls were 1 1/2 & 3 years old at the time, I wanted his autograph, but didn't want to bother him during his lunch. The funny part was the waitress was so frazzled, she forgot to put the turkey on his sandwich, ( I heard him say something about it). I CRACKED UP!!! I finally got up the nerve to go over, he was so sweet, didn't make me feel bad for asking him for his autograph. I still have it, I am 63 & still love his music and what he stands for. Just a true, real guy. His music and this interview will give people insight into who he really is. My fav song is still I still Believe in You ( Everybody wants a piece of his time...) LYRICS.. Not many like Vince Gill, he doesn’t write songs for Top charts which is all about money, he not a I need more money for a 20 million home,he’s done more Charity work than 100 singers or more put together.
I remember seeing Vince Gill as the lead vocalist for Pure Prairie League at Earth Day in New Orleans in the 1970’s. Kind of ironic that he would sing Amie back then, and end up with Amy Grant as his soul mate. Vince has a heart of gold, and even if he doesn’t see himself as a storyteller like John Prine, Steve Earle, Merle Haggard, or Don Henley- he is a great lyricist and speaks to humanity at it’s core condition. PTL that #VinceGill went with his gut instinct and remained in the Country genre and that he kept family values of kindness and humility!❤️✝️🎶🎶 Great interview, #Tokens!!🤗🙏
I love and appreciate the honesty of Vince. He is what he is. He doesn't hide it. He lives it out front and doesn't try to shape himself to other peoples' expectations or intentions. That honesty comes out in his lyrics and soul in his music.
"KINDNESS"! Wow, so underestimated, so profound! Isn"t that what Jesus brought: We call it Love, but it is about gentleness, caring, being there, always trying to do the right thing. My Daddy, a seminary educated Southern Baptist preacher, definitely loved me & I knew it. But he was, ultimately, the kindest of all people I've ever known! He coached a HS golf team in Alexandria, Louisiana, to 4 straight years of being #1 in State. And, those young guys on the team respected & LOVED him! Just as his only child did, me, and my only child, a son, cherished him. We miss him so much & love him, but he went to "rest high on that mountain". We'll be with him again someday. Great interview! I heard you are broadcast in the Navajo Nation, where I taught & live right by in Colorado!

@@sandrawilson5991 Yes I am so proud of my dad and I really appreciate my dads music, how long have you been listening to my dads music and what makes you like his songs ?
@@corrinagrantgill3236 I have been listening to your dad since he was with Pure Prairie League back in the 70's, I am 69 years old. Vince's songs speak of the reality of life. They talk of the things that makes us tick, they remind us of our humanity and our need for redemption. They touch that deep, deep nerve that we all have where the hurts live, and his songs help quell that pain at least temporarily. I am Dennis Patterson and I live in Murphy, Texas just outside Dallas.
Powerful Genuine human being Vince Gill is! Truth and Honesty! Great Man and love to listen to being an interview or fabulous Entertaining Artist, Singer, Writer, Music 🎶 🎵 Guitar Player of many Years! Love all his songs!
