Had a 97 12v and now have a 03 7.3... the fords a better truck but I would trade it in a heartbeat for my old dodge.. drove the 12v across country twice in my early 20s.. it was beat by the time i sold it and the front axle is the Achilles heel of those trucks but I miss it dearly
