I've decided this will be the engine I will build for my e36. I wanna do an N/A build and EVERYONE does the s54. As much as I'd love to import a s50 I can't overlook this is the largest motor bmw made. I mean this engine is like the best inline 6 bmw built before they started vanos. I can't wait!
Yes this is larger M88/S38-B35. Purchased from Germany. The major gains are less heat and light weight. it adds very little power vs stock plenum because its not all out engine.
Gary, I need to get a good camera and will show you back to back comparison. I have a lot of testing done. Chipped, dinan cam gears with exhaust E34M5 vs this E24M6 20mph up to 140mph M6 beats with 7 cars ahead, E46M3 stock 20mph up to 140mph about 6 cars. Cheers
Amazing. What engine management? I have one in my E30 I am building. I was going to go with a megasquirt to do the coil conversion and a map tune. Are you running a map sensor or alpha N?
