Nice video guys! Love the LSL Studs man. That rain would stink.

Thank you! The weather is crazy but we're just a few weeks from dry in!

Hey Hector and Marcela, Frank here. I have been watching your videos off and on in the last few months . . . just realized you are building somewhat close to my Nederland area (St. Anton’s) location. Can’t quite tell, but it appears you are on the Northeast side of Barker Reservoir up in Big Springs? I too am building a new place in Weld County, with all the same issues you have/are experienced, and researched, with regard to Building Science (Matt R., Joe Listubek, et al). Very impressed with your project, would love to chat in person sometime . . .

Hello Fank, nice to meet you. Yes, you are right on our location. We love the mountains, but not easy to build with only 5 months between snow storms. We'd love to meet, you can contact us at efficientbuild1@gmail.com or more real time on instagram if you use it. We also attend a lot of builder happy hours, the most common one being the CGBG happy hours when they hold them in Boulder, Louisville area.

What is the drone footage filter you are using? It make it look like a toy house. Very cool!

Nice! I'm glad it looks good! We use an ND and polarized filter in one. I like to use ND8 - ND32 but at this point I use what I still have. Every time I crash I lose the filter... But sometimes you have to fly risky to get the best shots!

What are your thoughts on LSL’s and water absorption issues down the line? Some of the downsides I’ve seen written about, but not personally observed, have been less capable drying when fully installed within the wall cavity. Proper waterproofing and WRB obviously are a huge piece of this, but didn’t know what your research led you to understand! And notwithstanding the rain on this video, I’m sure they dry out just fine when exposed!

We are slightly ahead of this video and the LSL's have had to withstand a lot of rain. They look pretty good I'd say. As long they are not submerged in water they dry okay.

Another thing we should mention, there are pressure treated LSLs so you could use them in areas where water could be an issue, or if your expect them to be exposed for a considerable time before dry in.

Noticed the water drip and stain marks on the inside walls of lower level. Since the flooring was already installed above as a pseudo roof, is that indicative of na unforseen leak? Or just due to the walls not being fully constructed yet?

That's expected at the moment. We haven't put the water tight layers. Those come with the zip sheathing, prosocco, etc
