Love everything she’s written. Burn One With John Prine is excellent. Gut wrenching now. She does a set with him on, I believe, a cruise ship, and she sings it to him. Priceless.

I love this song. My favorite of hers is still Blowin Smoke. There is a flavoring called Liquid Smoke. Wondering if it could be that in there? It's mind your own business and that will keep you busy enough so you don't have time to be throwing rocks and gossiping. LOL. That's pretty much my KY Appalachia relatives. It's where my Mama's and my Daddy's people are from. Mama was the youngest of 13 kids. Grandma n Grandpa really liked each other a lot.
Great reaction and so true about people of Appalachia not being nice about others getting in our business, I'm not from W. Va, but down here (SE TN) the feeling is the same.
I once got fussed at for weeks for saying I live in Northern part of Middle TN. Lived here over 60 yrs and never knew ppl would get so upset over N or S. They were telling me there's no N or S it's just East, Middle and West. So don't be surprised if you get yelled at. 😆
@@Teresia12 I have been fussed at for saying South TN, but I have also been reprimanded by friends in polk county for lumping them in with the 'city folk' by not specifying, so I say what ever I want and ignore negative responses.
Kacey writes her own music and lyrics and has often been turned away, criticized by traditional music. She has never backed down. She won't change a word. That's why so many types of people like her, often people who never listen to country music. This video was a spoof on HeeHaw. She's so confident...you don't see many artists making videos like this. Her "High Horse" video is a take on the 9to5 movie. And her recent sold out arena tour made more money than another artist. She literally transformed the massive Staples Center in LA into an excellent experience (my second time seeing her) and sold out Madison Square Garden.
I'd gone first with Saving Face but I think it is more Mind Your own yard. The first two with people judging on others, the third about I don't care what others say and the fourth about Mind your own flat out. And yeah, very wholesome and catchy but the smoke your own smoke might make it is skew a little older...
I lost a bit of my liking for her when she said she drops Acid when she's writing songs like Merry go round... I loved her music prior to this but now when I hear her this is all I can think of and I wish she'd kept it to herself.
Yeah, I think it means stop trying to be perfect and just be you. But this song doesn't do anything for me. It's cheesy. I hate to say it but yeah, Disney gone country! Gotta say this as far as negativity/sadness is concerned, Sir Elton John said Sad songs they say so much... As for the bourbon. Up until the mid 90s they sold something called Liquid Smoke. Is that the flavor?
