Our first interview of 2023 will be with polyglot extraordinaire, Mr. Steve Kaufmann. Steve speaks 20 languages to varying degrees, has written a book called "The Way of the Linguist, A Language Learning Odyssey", has a blog called The Linguist, runs a youtube channel under the name of lingosteve, and is the co-founder, of LingQ.com, an online language learning system and community. As a graduate of L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, France (1966), and a former Canadian Diplomat and forest industry executive, Steve has lived in several countries in Europe and Asia for extended periods of time, while learning the local language and culture. His wife and two children have accompanied him on some parts of his journey abroad.
Steve will share his wisdom on multilingual kids through his experience learning languages himself and observing others, and through some of his successes and failures raising his own children for several years abroad.
