Excellent video...Inspires me to finish up the '79 Blackface I restored. Installed some Murphy gauges on mine but I need to verify it is able to idle up and down and set the RPM's. Took me a couple of years working on it here and there but it's fully restored.
I have a 62 red face.. I rebuilt the carb.. tried to start it . Guess I forgot something inside.. it's one thing after like u said.. great video. Thank u Jesus lord..
why didnt you wire brush the carbon off the valves? did you wire brush the head to remove all the carbon before putting it back together? that small pipe unthreads out of the water pump so you dont have to unbolt the water pump and ruin your radiator. you can put #1 piston at TDC while the head is off and the firing order is cast on the head and those air filters are no good because they let in fine dust that will eat up your piston rings. get the old oil bath filter back on it or get a paper filter. if it doesnt weld right check to see if all the big brushes move freely in their holders. a sticky brush will make the arc act funny and the gas tank is not the correct one
