The introductory part is not correct. What is current known as the University of KwaZulu-Natal was previously known as the University of Natal not the University of Zululand. Justice Zondo studied law at the University of Zululand.
I as an ordinary SAns I saw Thuli Madonsela being implicated several times in the commission, one of those who implicated him for a defaming report, founded out of nothing, was Brian Molefe. So if I as a an ordinary citizen can see a need for Madonsela to go and clean her name in the commission, yet Zondo can't see it, it means he don't deserve that high position!
Zondo should just retire or join ANC. A CJ must be free from bias, open to criticism, accept right to opinion and recuse himself for fair trial if called upon, should not be calling press to respond to opinion articles.
What a mess 🤕 I wonder how we even got to this point. If Teletubbies gets appointed as the CJ, then we might as well kiss our little democracy goodbye, as him and his faction have been consistently showing us dictactorship elements disguised as "protecting our democracy". The CJ position requires a sober or independent(free from outside control) and a credible individual, and I doubt we have that in Teletubbies, he is such a questionable character. If he indeed makes it into that office, despite his questionable character, then we will know that the Ruling class put him there . And that it's not about fairness and democracy, it is all about the money
This man has too much love for himself and the CR ANC faction. We don't Zondo, he must just retire, we need a woman CJ, sick and tired of Ramaphosa men. We want a proper, fair, unbiased CJ that will prioritize in taking this country forward.
You right he will be captured by black ⚫ corrupt incompetent government officials, or just follow the new trend wil get shot like the teacher a week ago.
As we speak this is the only judge out of the 4, to whom people are so divided about, elevate him there, we will see factions and disrespect, just like what's is happening in the leadership of Ramaphosa in the ANC. It will be a disaster.
If we are about excellence and not compromise in all sectors of our life as a people , then JP Hlophe should definitely be in the final mix for CJ position. My take as a neutral man in the street is that JP Hlophe is the Epitome of Black Excellence who is perhaps without compare in his chosen field at this juncture in the life of this nation. His omission is a grievous mistake we dare not be quiet about. We have been down this path too often before where our nation has been denied any opportunity to be led by excellence...look at Du Reiter at Eskom.. When will it all end South Africa ... when will this unpatriotic side lining of Black Excellence end if it does not end especially now when our youth desperately need the inspiration from such talent .
@@thembantshingila2592 Judge Hlophe is one the sober minded blacks. Unfortunately the system does not need his likes. Those in power to appoint got certain agendas and they are looking for someone to do exactly as they wish. So judge Zondo will win and no justice for us especially black people.
Zondo plunged KZN into messy destruction; he was in a position to make a wise decision and steer away from politics, but this egoist chose violence. I so wish he doesn't get the post.
It would be a worse mistake if President chose zondo to be our chief justice. I mean it would be disastrous. We need black person there and not just a black looking man like zondo.
