This Vlog is about “Sabarimala Pilgrimage & Journey Experiences ” and it is brought to you by "Tour With Shailesh", an exclusive tourism channel showcasing travel vlogs.
This videologue is meant specifically for the first timers who are visiting the Sannidhanam and unaware of what to expect. This Vlog is meant to educate the the newbies or the Kanni Swamis ( as they are called in colloquial language) so that they go prepared. Pamba to Sannidhanam is only 6 kms but the climb gradient for some of the stretches is of 30% to 45% which may take the real toll on the healthy ones - so go slow and take your time. Lord Ayyappa is in no rush to go anywhere and you need not rush either!!!!
The Sabarimala Temple is a temple complex located at Sabarimala hill inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve in the Perinad Village, Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, India. It is one of the largest annual pilgrimage sites in the world with an estimate of over 40 to 50 million devotees visiting every year. The temple is dedicated to a Hindu Brahmachari (Celibate) deity Ayyappan also known as Dharma Shasta, who according to belief is the son of Shiva and Mohini, the feminine incarnation of Vishnu.
The temple is situated on a hilltop amidst eighteen hills at an altitude of 1260 m (4,134 ft) above sea level, and is surrounded by mountains and dense forests. The dense forest, part of the Periyar Tiger Reserve, around the temple is known as Poongavanam. Temples exist in each of the hills surrounding Sabarimala. While functional and intact temples exist at many places in the surrounding areas like Nilakkal, Kalaketty, and Karimala, remnants of old temples survive to this day on remaining hills.
Erumeli to Nilakkal is 30 Kms distance
Nilakkal to Erumeli is 20 kms
Pamba to Sannidhanam is 6 kms
There are other routes through the forest which used to be taken earlier and some staunch believers still do.
Erumely, also spelt "Erumeli" is a panchayat in the southeast part of Kottayam district in Kerala state, India. Erumely is situated 49 km east of Kottayam town and 133 km North of capital city Trivandrum. It is situated on the way to Sabarimala and also an important halting place (idathavalam) for the Sabarimala pilgrims. Erumely is famed for its religious harmony and prosperity between Hindus and Muslims which existed from the early periods. It is a place which have strong roots in legends and myths associated with lord Ayyappa.
Nilakkal also spelled Nilackal, or formerly Chayal, is a remote ghat region located in the Goodrical range of Ranni forest division in Pathanamthitta District . The place is noted mainly as an edathavalam or halting-place for the Ayyappa devotees during Sabarimala pilgrimage.

You have covered every where except the Manimandapam where the Mahajeevasamadhi of Lord Ayyappan is located. This is just behind the Malikapuram Devi Temple on a raised area.
