wow that's actually awesome, how was it hearing all the songs from carolus rex in swedish instead of english? especially en livstid i krig. I'm also wondering, what did you think of the runner up, hulkoff?
@zoomin9397 on their last visit to North America, they did play Gott mit uns in Swedish. I actually listen to the Swedish version of the album more than the English. The reason I ever considered seeing them play at home was seeing the live footage from Göteborg; watching the crowd sing stirs my emotions. I HAD to experience that. I've actually seen Sabaton play in Sweden more times than over here. I was at Falun and Borlänge in 2022, SOA, and then Karlskrona and Trelleborg. I had a very Sabaton year: 7 shows in 10 months, 3 countries and two continents. I didn't really know Hulkoff well, but now have a few favorites, Hammarslag being #1. It feels so strange to not have another Sabaton show coming up on my calendar. Next trip is Area 53 in July, with a side trip to Falun, Borlänge, and Nusnäs.
Better than the modern zombie plague: people so involved in their phone that they don't pay attention to their surroundings. There's a reason that a country had to start putting pedestrian warnings into the road surface...
@andreas_petersson the lead in another band I follow reminds people that if they are going to film, to keep their phones down in front of their faces. It is surprising that so many people just don't even consider it. Not a deliberate action, just not thinking.
