Fun Fact: Kuzuki is an assassin trained by a secret organization. He spent his entire life training and perfecting assasination skill referred to as "snake", which specializes in odd movements that cannot be deciphered at first sight, hence Saber's inability to beat him here. (But loses it's advantage from second encounter) When organization gets an order from "customer", it sends one of its assasin to kill the target. The assasin is then ordered to suicide in order to hide any evidences, so basically they are trained entire life to kill one person and disposed of afterwards. Kuzuki was sent to kill a target, but upon successfully assasinating his target he felt that his entire life of training was meaningless (since the target died at single strike), and decided to run away from the organization in search for his life's meaning. This is why he refers to himself as "a killer" here, as he actually is a killer. Ends up in Ryudoji Temple and eventually meets wounded Caster (who was about to disappear after killing her original Master), and decides to become Caster's master to prolong her life. Kuzuki is able to fight against Saber here because Caster strengthened his body/fist with her magecraft (as seen by the purple light in animation). It's famous that all Type Moon characters who lived/trained in "mountains" are overpowered lol.

Even reinforced, the fact he held his own against a Servant is insane.

Just to Clarify, He gains 10x buff from Caster focusing her magic on him. Now that would normally not be enough to make him a match for a servant. (Especially Saber of all Servants.) He is a trained Assassin who already possessed superhuman speed and strength because of training and possible augmentation since he was born, utilizing a combat style that is very hard to decipher and counter. This makes him the strongest Master in the grail war. Even above Shirou.
