It sounded a lot like a heavy crash more than it did a ride cymbal at times in this It’s great that you’re posting vids again too, your gear reviews are my favorite by far 😁 🔥🔥
@@IAMDRUMMER the sound is very smooth and balanced, how the bell melts in with the shoulder and body of the cymbal’s tone is wonderful too great vintage studio cymbal vibe
I must need new headphones (or maybe less earwax) because it sounded more mellow than you're describing, especially the stick sound. It's still very nice, though. I tried a 22" Artisan Elite at Guitar Center and that one was pretty loud, louder than I'd expect a cymbal like that to be. Rather heavy also. I thought the Artisans were supposed to be more buttery, like a throwback type cymbal.
@@IAMDRUMMER I'm glad it's working for you. I love my 21" HHX Complex Medium Ride. I've got a few strips of blue painter's tape underneath to reign it in a bit for practice purposes. Whoever invented blue tape at 3M needs a statue in their honor.
For $500 Buck's it Should Sound Better Than This, These Cymbal Manufactors are Going Nuts On Pricing Them Cymbal's. They Make it Hard for the Every Day Working Drummer's.
Retail here was $1499 (I didn't pay that) but being a limited run what can you expect, I will say the recording can only do so much as it's does sound and feel pretty mint.
