Good cymbals. The XS20 line is made from the very same aged cast B20 as the AAX, and HHX top shelf lines. The only difference is the amount of hammering. The people complaining that these lack a lot to be desired are just looking at the price tag lol. I love the XS20 and personally, I can't tell the difference between the XS20 medium thin crashes and the AAX equivalents. Keep in mind, different rooms, mics, and setups play a significant part in how things sound.
Yeah i check out a video of the B8 Pro 20 and it sounds really nice kind of like my Zildjian A Custom Medium Crash. They are only $129 brand new so I am thinking if I can't find a cymbal used I just might check them out
Well, depends on what sound you're going for. Personally, I prefer a smoother sounding cymbal since they're all overhead mic'ed on my sets anyways. If you like a more powerful cymbal that has a lot more sustain, it's going to be harsher. It all depends on what you're going for.
That's a premier kit I think. Not sure about the heads. But you can tune most kits pretty decent if you know what you're doing. I've heard really bad kits sound better than dw's and its all in the tuning and care
Tighten up both bass heads put a pillow for that de se muffled sound, put it in the middle or agai ts the head your hit your bass pedal with. Toghten them the same then try it how it sounds. If you don't like it lossen the batter bass/the bass head you hit with the pedal. Keep losening it till yoi get the sound you want. If its still not the right sound tighten the outside bass head tighter and do the whole process over again just the heads tigher next time.
What range are these Sabian cymbals in? Would they be at the same level as say a Zildjian zbt, Zildjian S or a Paiste pst5 or 7? Or are they better than those mentioned?
+Sean Lewis hi, this range is now being phased out and will be replaced with the new XSR range,if you let us know what sort of music you play we could better advise on sounds and ranges available, email us on sales@soundattak.co.uk
I dont know why anyone buys new cymbals. I got my hhx xplosions used (18 and 19) for 380 scouting around the internet. These XS20s are great for beginner but man do they lack body and depth.
Why is people talking about the snare in every fucking cymbal review video there is??!! lets fucking talk about the cymbals they are trying to show us here ;(
haha nothing is free bro, business is business, you're paying it anyway and they are earning profits form it, thing is we don't know how much is their cost of production, but I assure you it's just the idea of you getting it free but it ain't really
