Many animanga authors use blood siblings or adopted siblings for their stories, but it's rare things when some author put a sworn brothers and their relationship is more than blood brothers like ASL

"I almost helplessly lost both my brothers" -Sabo Can you imagine? that is exactly how Luffy felt until Sabo found Luffy. To Luffy, he helplessly saw Sabo get blown up and helplessly watched Ace die infront of him.

I just realized something, Sabo had Luffy's vivre card, I wonder what his reaction was when he saw his vivre card burning away when Luffy died prior to getting G5.
