@@thedude-nf1uf Def agree with you there. Tbh, Tomo Chan was more enjoyable than my angel, just my opinion though. It was more well paced leading up to the confession, plus more comedy. My Angel was great too, it is good to have the occasional sugar rush from watching how sweet their relationship was in My Angel

Don't get me wrong, it's nice to get more Than 1 season of a show sometimes, but when they drag it along it gets kinda tiring waiting for the confession. Tomo was really well paced and had what I would call THE BEST ending in Romance anime

It’s because he knows Jun too well since Jun is his number-one pupil (would’ve been Tomo if she actually spent as much time at the family dojo as she did at the school karate club). That said, Aizawa-sensei knows two things about Jun: -Jun doesn’t have enough game to follow through with putting the moves on Tomo -Even if he did have that much game, he wouldn’t dare do it because he knows what Aizawa-sensei would do to him

He had known jun for years at that point, he knew he could trust him

Tomo would make for a great bonus unlockable character in Tekken.

For me this is the goat season anime the only time I saw a season anime with this level of quality was bocchi the rock

I wish we had a season 2. Watching them date would be amazing. I love this show, but I'm tired of romance shows ending at the beginning. A relationship starting is the beginning. Not the end.

The point of the whole show is that he knew all along and rejected his own feelings because he was scared to ruin his relationship with her

He always thought she was pretty he just keep pushing those feelings down because he felt that it would ruin the relationship they had

nah since episode 2, Mizusu kept pushing Jun's buttons that show he actually thinks Tomo is pretty. He just doesn't know how to handle his feelings. Also in episode 2, the anime shows Jun breathing in air just to approach Tomo meaning he's keeping a facade of seeing her as a bro like he used to but she's become so much more feminine.

Its not a reasonable request at all considering the situation. Tomo's dad job is to be good in fights. It'd be like if an attorney said: to date my daughter you must know the law better then me. Meaning that only attorneys even stand a chance. Edit: I get the point of "he needs to meet a certain criteria of strength l". I'm just saying the bar was unreasonably high

1. Can your daughter veto your disapproval? If not, why not? 2. Does it still apply if your daughter can protect herself? 3. Can you veto your parents' disapproval of someone you like? 4. Why is the standard "better"? Gorou is a literal dojo master. 5. How often is this type of protection necessary in real life? I'd much rather deescalate, nobody wins a knife fight after all.

@@Jet-ij9zc I disagree, but not entirely. The bar was high, but you should expect a lot from the man who wants to date your daughter. You should expect strength, and you should expect wit, and you should expect a good character. However, it is the fathers job to protect and to provide for his family. So to expect someone to do that better then you can is a rather unrealistic expectation, but if they can then that’s really good for your daughter and for you. But to date my daughter, you have to be able to protect and provide for her in the same way that I would. The love of a father for his child and the love of a husband for his wife are different types of love, and yet they are equal amounts of love.

@@slampest well, I wouldn’t be entirely opposed to it, just as a test of strength and skill in a fight. But that’s not exactly how I’d deal with the situation. I wouldn’t ask for a fistfight with my daughter’s boyfriend. Although, it’s probably the easiest, quickest, and most effective way to test his strength and skills.
