Finally a return to sparring for Nick after a long lay off due to local lockdowns. Here we are both using Black Fencer Steel Generation training sabres. Jordan has the 1796 infantry model, and Nick the 1803.
Two of our newest members, a father and daughter who are very keen. The foam weapons are a great way to get people into sparring with minimal gear/risk. They are also just a fun tool for low gear sparring.
@@AcademyofHistoricalFencing I figured they were new. They do seem to be picking it up very quickly, though. Do you know of any American retailers for the foam weapons? My friend and I want to start a HEMA club, but are having a hard time finding good, affordable resources.
both very skilled fencers. I love how neither just attacks without an opening. both try to make the other attack so they can punish the action. just amazing
