I remember this episode! This was part of a TGIF crossover special where Salem visits all the different shows (Boy Meets World, Teen Angel, You Wish!) and sends the characters in each show back to various decades. There's also apparently two different endings for this episode of Sabrina. The one that is generally shown in syndication has Salem coming home and giving the time ball back in his litter box, while the other shows him hitchhiking to Philadelphia for the "Boy Meets World" portion of the crossover.
They should have sent out that alternative ending when they sent the tapes to other countries. We didn't air the other shows here and the episode just has no proper conclusion without the crossovers.
I remember watching it and boy meets world the other two I can’t remember it’s been more than twenty years so I don’t really remember but maybe teen angel I’m not sure.
An interesting goof about the phrase ‘A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle’ is that it was coined by 🇦🇺 Irina Dunn in 1970… whereas this episode is set in 🇺🇸 1968.
[raises eyebrow] So, three witches with magic powers that, among other things, allow them to teleport anyone and / or anything anywhere couldn't conjure up a cage and teleport Salem into it? They couldn't just teleport the Time Ball out of him? Fascinating. 🖖
@@r0bw00d Not reallly, in the media it was always jumping like that. In the 90s it was the 60s and now it was all about the 80s but it's switching to the 90s
@@lmatt88 Yes, really. The '70s were about the '50s while the '90s were about both the '60s and '70s (I watched a lot of Nick-at-Nite when it was still on Nickelodeon). The '10s were about the '90s (see _Fuller House_ and _Girl Meets World_ for examples). Outside of media, the '90s have already had their resurgence in fashion and the '80s are happening right now, as you've said. Also currently is the return of the '00s (Just look at all of those TV show sequels like _iCarly_ as examples). So yeah, each decade has its own nostalgia dedicated to it, as I said.
hm... if Sabrina and Harvey did end up having children, those kids would be a quarter witch and 3/4 mortal not to mention that Sabrina would have to send her kids away to be trained by magical relatives if she doesn't want Harvey to turn into a ball of wax like her own mother almost did
I'm not saying it was right or I agreed with it because it wasn't and I don't, but it's just the way it was then. Go to College?!, they're lucky they could Vote, own homes, own cars and have jobs.
This episode was a beginning of a crossover between several shows how did Salem Cross state lines cuz the next show is Boy Meets World he shows up on how

@@christopherbingham5092 I wonder how many of those brave women who scream 'equality' and fight for it, would still do the same if things were reversed? If gender equality affected men and favored women? Hardly any woman would stand up for men! Women always make a fuss about the importance of equality only when it affects them and don't give a a damn about the times when it affects men negatively as long as they have it good.
this is the problem of women, they get offended, they whine, but don't do anything about it, this is why they were in this mess to begin with. Luckily it took for actual brave women who said 'no, I'M not whining, I'm not walking away and crying, I'm fighting' But we have to keep in mind that most of the women who fight for equality only do it when it affects women negatively, when it affects men, hardly any woman woulöd stand up and scream 'equality' It's hypocrisy at its finest.
@@stephenproulx175 Sure, a lot of things did move forward, but they threw out the baby with the bathwater. By the 1970's, alcoholism, drug addiction, and crime was everywhere, and by the 1980's, most of the black population of America had become idle bums and thieves living on welfare checks. Liberal policies wrecked the black communities in America.
🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ They totally don’t know Anything. Harvey doesn’t care about college, but he’s a man? The aunts can apparently own a house and can support Sabrina, yet they’re oppressed? Sabrina complains constantly about having to actually work hard and the one time she could actually have a break, she Doesn’t take advantage of that. I love Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but the feminist propaganda in this show. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ I wished they just focused on being a good show. Because moments like these is why I thought something was off, and low and behold, I find out they Wanted it to be a feminist show. That’s the only Giant negative with this show. It’s feminist, yet Sabrina Also wants a man to do everything for her. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
"Harvey doesn’t care about college, but he’s a man?" You think that all men in the '60s wanted to go to college? "The aunts can apparently own a house and can support Sabrina, yet they’re oppressed?" They've owned property for centuries since they had the money for it. Financially supporting Sabrina is easy after that. It was uncommon for women to own property back then, but hardly unheard of.
