After a speeding ticket lands Sabrina's math teacher in court, his fate is decided by a judge who's a witch! #SabrinaTheTeenageWitch I Now streaming on Paramount+ Where to watch: para.mt/Sabrina
I actually felt bad for the guy. He was genuinely unhappy teaching high school math and was taking it out on the students. Condemning him to a life teaching high school math was not only small-minded and petty, but all his students will suffer.
I love this episode, justice was served, he said it himself, life is full of people like him who would not accept any excuse or babysit anyone’s needs, he had it coming
As someone who actually was a teacher for a couple of years (Secondary School Science teacher), what Americans would call high school, I can swear I’d never go back again. Left to go work in a hospital (my degree is in Biomedical Science) and feel more comfortable knowing there are people dying down the corridor from me (I analyse people’s blood, body fluids, spinal fluid etc… and diagnose from that) than walking into a classroom of 30 kids each day… that and the 60 hour work weeks have finally stopped!
Because of that (most likely) they edited the song when Sabrina aired on CITV in the UK, but the Nickelodeon UK airings (which aired first) kept the song the same, with no edits. The CITV version always sounded weird to me, but I dunno for sure if it was badly edited (but feel that's what I remember), or if it was just because I saw the unedited version first.
Lifetime of teaching math? That's extremely cruel. I'm not sure what the moral of the story was, but it should've been perseverance through studying in order to pass an academic class, and not punishing the teacher.
I think it's, when you have a bad teacher, you just have to deal with it and remind yourself that they're probably a miserable person, but they'll be stuck there for the rest of their life while you get to leave them behind.
This scene needs more context to understand if you aren't familiar with the show. I would say the moral is don't waste time letting bitter, unpleasant people get to you. Perseverance through study would have been an inappropriate moral for this episode because Sabrina DID study for the test (she is actually quite studious and generally good at math). The reason she failed wasn't that she didn't study enough to understand the material, it was that she became so caught up in thinking how unfair it was that she was (wrongly) accused of cheating that she ran out of time, got flustered, and forgot what she had studied.
I’ve watched this in another language dubbed which removed the background laugh. It is a little better to watch this without hearing the laughing parts 😅😭
