This educational film produced in 1965 documents the history of Sacramento, California; the establishment of Fort Sutter; the 1848 discovery of gold in Coloma; and the Sacramento floods of 1850 and 1852. The film also covers Theodore Judah, the development of the Central Pacific Railroad Company, the completion of the State Capitol building, and the development of Old Sacramento. The film was presented by the Junior League of Sacramento and produced by Vista Productions of San Francisco.
