Summer crappie fishing in Sacramento, CA on a HOT day and managed to locate a few schools. These were not "slabs", but they were definitely fun to catch.

Hopefully soon Leo. I've been real busy, but I plan to make some time for another crappie fishing trip before trout season starts. You are a local fisherman yourself so you know whats up.
Hey Randell! There are a lot of spots for Crappie throughout the delta and the many sloughs between Sacramento and Highway 12, but the banks are pretty thick with brushes so it will be difficult to fly fish in those areas. My suggestion would be to try lakes like Lake Berryessa, Clear Lake, and Eastman Lake as they have some bank access where you can use your fly rod. Good luck!
