Solutions to the homeless crisis are often met with so-called "NIMBYism: Not In My Backyard."
One Sacramento woman, however, is saying: YIMBY! (Yes in my backyard.) She is literally housing people in her backyard.
Robin Moore is the founder of WEforce California Inc., a Sacramento non-profit that runs Safe Harbor. That’s a community of four tiny homes for families transitioning out of homelessness and into permanent housing.

This is amazing!! We need more folks like her. Too many are so hateful & judgemental of the homeless, fully believing in the misconceptions about homelessness & how it could happen to anyone. I'm currently being publicly bullied, harassed, criticized and ridiculed because I'm at risk of becoming unhoused, due to being fired from my job fighting my property manager's first attempt to evict us. And now, at risk, again, as I've received a notice to pay or quit last week. Since being unemployed, I have been looking, and have had scheduled interviews but keep getting ghosted by hiring recruiters, and getting no information as to why or reschedule interview, or any feedback. I've applied for assistance, and still haven't been updated about application. It's a freakin mess. I don't even know anymore.

❤I'm in the bay area and just saw this news clip I'm trying to google this place in DPH, I use to be homeless myself and would love to donate as well volunteer anyway I could? I use to live in Sacramento myself some time ago and I am grateful for the many doors that helped me along the way to self sufficiency

I was told that California was the greatest state on earth and one of the wealthiest, after seeing trashes everywhere and homelessness, not so much

They won't stay there long. They'll go back on the streets of doing what they do cuz they're not used to that. They're used to the streets more than having a home
