The colorizing of historic photos has entered a revolutionary new era. Modern technologies now provide an almost unlimited set of tools to digitally manipulate black and white photos by removing scratches, curing anomalies and colorizing the images. It may appear to be a brave new world, but this distinctly modern approach shares the same spirit that has attracted pilgrims to Gettysburg for 160 years.
A nationally known music producer and a lifelong student of the Civil War, Patrick Brennan has authored five books on the subject. A member of the Editorial Advisory Board of The Civil War Monitor, Mr. Brennan’s work has also appeared in North & South Magazine, Blue & Gray Magazine, The Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Reader.
