Beautiful mate. I like how you share your plan, but prove remaining flexible and not married to any one idea is the true key to victory.

Kostya, I just want to say I really appreciate not only how insightful and detailed your analysis is, but also how calm and measured you are in your assessment of your own play and your opponents' play. I feel if I can take a similarly calm mindset into my games, it will help me improve a lot. Thanks!

It was validating to hear your thoughts near the end about Bxf6?? sacrifice after Qxa2, because that also looked great to me. A good reminder to always check the non-forcing moves (i.e. not accepting the sacrifice) before going into the sacrifice! Also loved how "does this move give me practical chances" was always on your mind. Keep it up Kostya!!

Very instructive again; this game shows how not to fear being material down and create imbalances to outplay a lower-rated oponent. Sometimes it's good to gamble and create complications to make the oponent collapse and lose the game quickly. Thanks for the lesson, sir. Now I'm going to see your report on round 3 and wish you good luck there for rounds 4 and 5. Keep us updated, please :)

What's the saying? "If the box mate doesn't work, try, try, and try again"? :-D Good game, Kostya!

Sometimes they allow different options (like Nimzo) but sometimes they just transpose

I'm a marketing expert. You need to change the title to Sac n' Chill. I also suggest you wear a funny hat, and use a fake accent.
