As odd as it may seem, the Red Sox and Orioles did us a favor by exposing our areas of need. Our recent success was leading to a sense of overconfidence and complacency -- too many were already breaking out the cigars. We have several areas of concern, but (IMO) none are more critical than upgrading/stabilizing our bullpen. "Meh" won't get it done against the better teams and in the playoffs. The season could depend on organizational decisions now and Mr. Cashman should have a busy next few weeks. As for The Martian, yes, it's sad that he's had another setback, but I would put him in the "want" category, not "need." Assuming health, our outfield is currently the best in baseball, so the practical impact of this latest setback is less. Just get better Jasson.

Hey folks, I seriously feel that Juan Soto needs to get a grip in the right field. Aaron Judge would have caught every fly ball Juan #22 missed. I do agree,I'd signed Verdugo for at least 5years ..DJ omg, what's with the Ping Pong hits? He'll be a good trade, just like GT#25!!

Dominguez is an immensely talented baseball player. I don't know what his potential is at the major league level because he only has 8 games in the show. My concern is the injury history, and I am not positive that I would be willing to gamble the future of my club on Dominguez's ability to stay healthy. Is the kid pushing it to return to the majors, perhaps. Am I saying the Yankees should move on from Dominguez? No, but I think that is something that has to be evaluated.

Joe I will say this though. In the Dodgers series we lost that extra inning game without Soto. Then we lost that Baltimore game 7-6 without Judge. Gave up a couple games with Clay Holmes. We easily could have 5 more wins instead of loses. 56-22 record.❤

At this point Jasson Dominguez is a one week teaser. An outstanding player but looking like he's injury prone sadly. I hope he recovers soon. It must be devastating for the kid knocking on the door but unable to stay healthy. :(

We have been playing so badly the last week or two. If somehow we can turn it around, don't know. We still are tied for the best record in baseball. I know every team goes through some bad stuff. Let's go please!!!!!!!

You absolutely ate those words, huh? 😅😅😅 “How have they been “terrible”?….smh True…they haven’t met expectations with all that talent, but despite their injuries, Atlanta is still playing decent ball. Doubtful for October, but stranger things have happened. Wanna see terrible? Try Whitesox, Rockies, Marlins, Angels. and the Athletics. 2nd place is NOT “terrible”. Piece of advice, Yankees fan: Don’t underestimate teams like the Braves and Astros…they know how to win when it counts. Those are the kinds of teams you’re going to have to beat down the stretch to get to October in good position to take the crown. That’s a mistake the Braves made 2 years in a row with the Phillies and their asses got handed to them-much like Atlanta handed NY their asses in that 3 game series…IN NEW YORK! 😂 Truth be told, you have an uphill battle: Orioles, maybe Cleveland, (Don’t sleep on Texas or your thorn in the side Astros), and then Dodgers, Phillies, or (long shot) sneaky Atlanta Braves again.

Clay is hanging in there and did get off to a good start in the 2024 MLB season. All the NY Yankees except Aaron,J.Soto, Dougie, Nester,Brian, Boonie and Hal Steinbrenner are playing or running the NY Yankees well.

Dougie has been very good for the NY Yankees. As Susan Waldman has said concerning having to many players, things usually work out. The debt of players pays off in this Jasson case.

he is young and this will pass. he needs to have the Yankees set up a less lifting program and more a stretching regiment. My suspicion is he compensated and i think he might not have been properly supervised.

I have a VERY bad feeling that the second half of this year will be a repeat of 2023. Great in first half, horrible in second. Why do I have this feeling? The Yankees are an OLD team and have major holes in 3 infield positions, they are NOT built for a 162 game season as they wear out by July. Holes are in First base, Third base and then there's Torres who's looking more like a mirror of Joe Biden. Add to that a catcher who is the King of ground outs and can't throw anyone out and you have the makings of a disaster. They also have a so called "closer" who's not really a closer but more of a set up guy. Holmes does great against scrub teams and lineups, but is always in trouble when he faces a good lineup and good teams.

Watched this after Braves trouncrd 8 to 1 ugh Out of 1st for about an hour then houson just beat baltimore 14 ti 11 nearly blew it though baltimore is a team to with. Holmes what in God sakes happened he was unscored upon for like 2o games o.oo ERA now be cant hold a , .lead ugh 1 and 3 with skme bown saves 😮 sorry not closer material anymore

Not to be negative,reality sets in, The New York Yankees will not see a world Series. Most likely play offs. But if they cannot beat the Orioles what will happen in the fight for the playoffs? I predict the orioles for American league champs against the Dodgers or Phillies. I hope to God I’m wrong. Clay homes sucks, can’t stand him inconsistent and Shakey. Not worth 53 million.

The more I see, the more Clay Holmes proves he is not a closer. He's awful against good teams and rarely has a "clean" inning. Cashman better be looking for some key pieces at the deadline if this team is gonna go anywhere.

At least he will be ready for extended roster as he still had no place here with Stanton hitting even though he could be extra OF. No injury excuses, especially Aaron Judge. Os had their worse pitchers because of injuries and this team is not the best when we lost yo the Dodgers and Os.

Okay this is a whacky comment . . . hate away. An oblique injury means mostly that you can't swing. Could coaches teach him some infield? . The average height in MLB is 6'2'', actually 6'1.79'' so at 5'9'' Mr. Dominguez is a midget. Second basemen are the shortest (5'11) but shortstops and third basemen are also an inch below average (6'0'' and 6'1'') and Mr. Dominguez has the arm to play hot corner. They put the Martian in the outfield because he is fast, but outfielders are also taller than him. . The martian is athletic. I'd use this time when he can't hit to check him out in the infield. . As I said in a previous comment, I'm worried about his muscleman physique. Extra strong big muscles (shoulders, chest, glutes, quads) injure smaller muscles (hammies, forearms, obliques).

Even with the soto trade I knew the Yankees add too many issues to get over the Baltimore and dodger Hurd. And we just helped Boston get into the wild card. We were lucky stroman through himself at us. Hal lead us to believe he was all in but the budget and shareholders come first

Don’t put Jason in the out field let him play 1st or second base his arm shouldn’t be put any further danger playing outfield. His bat is too important to the team. Trade DJ or rizzo

I hate to see the Yankees trades for him just for one year and then let him go. I think he would be heartbroken, he’s part of the heart and soul of this team now becoming a fan favorite . I think I've already said my peace with Holmes. Yesterday was just hard to watch. I was really hoping for some good news from Dominguez, but I honestly would take 8 weeks over anything else.
