Jimny is meant for challenges nature throw and expeditions.Not to be driven by those who get scared of size of other vehicles . Crossing obstacles for making reels doesn’t qualify as off roading , it’s called abusing your vehicle . Engine takes time ,like 3000 plus kilometres ,I feel sorry for Engineers who create products for the users like you. Also if 12 lakh should be on road price , you basically wanted 4*4 capabilities in 9 lacs ex showroom? Is this your understanding of automobiles ? Condition of Jammu's Offroad Community, In Jammu very few people are indulged in expeditions and real Offroad. Very few people are real Car Enthusiast. Majority are doing offroad for reels,fukri and Social media presence. Good Bless Moto Community mainly of Jammu.
There should be a tax reduction for mountainous states for 4x4 vehicles so that people can buy off-road capable vehicles at lower prices with a rider that interstate registration change will not be allowed untill 5-6 years. Roads are washed away every summer and quick fix repaired roads need 4x4 to traverse. 4x4 is also needed as a safety feature on slippery slope roads. The old gypsy is still the work horse for remote regions.

As an automobile enthusiast, i love both the vehicles Thar & Jimny. Not because of their size, engine, power, or the so called BHAUKAL! I love them both for the way they have been engineered to cater the Adventure Enthusiasts at affordable prices. If some one really loves the PRESENCE Or the BHAUKAL, let me remind them that, there are companies like TATA, ASHOK LEYLAND etc. who build beautiful trucks, please reach to their showrooms. First of all, comparing THAR and JIMNY itself is an act of stupidity. Both are unique and class apart vehicles. Both have their own pro and Cons. Following the THAR & JIMNNY 5 Door ever since the day of their launch in India, what i have observed and understood is - JIMNY could do whatever THAR could do, And THAR Did every thing that it was designed to do. But i have seen and experienced few incidents, where THAR failed to do what JIMNY did! Again, here i am not demeaning the THAR. But as an automobile enthusiast, i understand it as the limitation of THAR, because of its size and weight. Similarly Jimny might fail to do what THAR did (So far i have not seen/experienced such thing, but i wont rule out the possibility), and even in this case, i will understand that Its the limitation of JIMNY. In real world, i have not seen such idiotic comparisons between the owners of THAR or JIMNY, or even those who own both of them. THAR owners respect JIMNY, and JIMNY owners respect THAR. Only in this youtube world of SO CALLED AUTO EXPERTS AND REVIEWERS, we see this tendency of comparing both vehicles, praising one vehicle and degrading the other! THAR is THAR, JIMNY is JIMNY, both are special and Unique. That's all!
If proper mods are done. Jimny definitely performs better than thar in a lot of situations. You can see videos from abroad also. But Indian market is totally different. Here reels are more important than practicality. That's why companies everytime manufactures different for Indian market

Good video chote👍 Maine thar sell kar ke Jimny li hai door, boot, narrow hilly and street roads, heavy traffic, average, light weight , highway stability better than thar for me, cold temperatures starts etc. fulfilled all my practical purposes for my family and practicality in daily life commuting everywhere. Jimny is not to be compared with Thar.. it's in its own category although abit price is higher... I wish it to be bigger in size as tall people face problem sitting in rear sits.
I've not seen any Thar in any Autocross or any Rally , I'm talking about only dirt track like Raid de Himalaya, Desert Storm or any other event. Winning is far far away...these are not seen in the events...What type type of SUV is Thar...which is being missed in the motorsports events....
Never compare the European built with the Indian built. The Scorpio here and the Scorpio in America are entirely different in terms of Built quality. Suzuki builds for the world and Maruti builds for India.
