Orchestral Arrangement / Remix - Final Boss Battle Music vs AI Professor Sada / Turo from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Artwork by Kyledove: / 1 Original music by Toby Fox Arranged by Joel Armishaw
@@JoelArmishawComposer Glad to hear it. Good themes tell stories, and good remixes amplify those stories or put a twist on them. Looks like you have good synergy with these themes that emphasize finality.
Interesting you call it heavenly, given the original professors' obsession with creating a paradise. (And why am I suddenly imagining a choir of Gardevoirs in the background providing the Lain chanting? 🤣🤣🤣)
Absolutely amazing, totally captures the feeling of the original and heightens it so much. That repeated section with the electric guitar, repeated violin ostinato and choir building up to the climax of the song is so good, it really brings out that Toby Fox-esque "Hopes and Dreams" style
Thanks so much! Yeah I definitely wanted to be faithful to the original so I’m glad that came across. Nothing in the orchestra seemed to suit that melody more than electric guitar so I felt I had to go with it!
I really like how it captures the sad tone of this amazing ost! Like the original was more emergetic because something was at stake and you HAD to win this or otherwise everything you know and cherish will be destroyed. This right here really captures the emotions during that fight. Neither you nor Sada and Turo want to fight you, you both just know that there is no way around it. You've captured the Toby-Fox-Spirit perfectly, that makes his tracks into what they are
This sounds so good wtf I can totally see this as like , a version for Sada , since its more traditional , and the normal one we got for Toro , since its more fast paced and its more "mechanical" if that makes sense lol Anyways , this sounds incredible , + 1 sub :)))
Even remixed I still get Detarune vibes lol. Guess that just shows how faithful the remix is to the original while still being an improvement while not loosing too much on what made the song good originally.
Thanks! Yes I definitely prefer to be faithful to the original.. my mindset is always ‘what would I do if I was hired to arrange this track for SV Remakes’ 😆
It may also be due to the fact that there are relatively few remixes of this theme, but this remix is the best I've heard. For me, it perfectly captures the mood of that fight, I will never stop listening to it. I loved the addition of the chorus in your remix of Volo's theme, as they complemented the theme, in my opinion. Here's the same thing, but better. You are severely underrated, i hope many people find this gem that is this remix.
This is amazing! I’d always been hesitant to listen to remixes of this song, since they always sounded very Turo-centric by going full on synths, or a little too overdramatised with the instruments but this hits perfectly in the middle like the original with both synthetic and traditional. I especially love the constant ticking in the background as a reference to the time, gives me kind of an Interstellar vibe
Imagine if the DLC later we've to back to the time machine again, and we gone into Past / Future Paldea, meet the real professor who actually still alive and this music plays.
Thank you! 😄 Haha I honestly tried that melody on every instrument in the orchestra but felt nothing had the same impact..it’s just perfectly made for electric guitar!
This is an AMAZING cover of an amazing song, holy crap. Perfectly nailed, even better. Your other works deserve more attention too!! Excellent job, thank you for making this for us to throw beautiful fits over
This theme really works for the AI professors given what the orignal ones wanted, but having listened to this while fighting Geeta...Really changes it from having fun to oddly fitting her in that Antagonistic style.
@JoelArmishawComposer Np! I think what really makes your version stand out is the fact that you can actually hear the chord progression without the drums and bass overpowering everything else like in the original. Like I actually get goosebumps listening to this version, especially at 1:48
As scarlet gang myself I can imagine this version is for professor sada. With how epic of instruments and choirs it's really fit her. I hope DLC will come soon I'm not addicted to pokemon main line game so long time. I have high hope to gamefreak for create an epic story for DLC again like in main story.
@@franciscoOrellana29 Actually, it's fit both because, composer purposely did original song to feel both ancient and techno. But, if professor sada/turo will have separate theme. Yep, you right! The original fit turo and orchestra with choirs will fit sada better.
Me too, man, I am obssesed over this ending, I just can't get enough of getting to watch everyone's reaction to it. This has also motivated me to start EV/IV training my pokemons (as it's easier this gen) to get to play around a bit of online too.
Just beat scarlet two days ago, and this song really made the game for me. Aside from the rookie team star that really slaps, this is a close second... Well maybe third to area zero music/remix. That's a real banger for sure.
Us in Legends Arceus facing Volo at Spear Pillar: There is nothing that could possibly be- Us now in Scarlet and Violet facing against ROBOT CLONES OF THE PROFFESSORS WHO WE NEVER EVEN MET: . . . I really hate that crooked salesman. This is somehiw all HIS FAULT! DAMN YOU VOLO AND YOUR SPACE TIME PARADOX MANIPULATION!!!!
This is amazing, I was already blown away by the good work pokemon did with the original, but this is even better! Although it doesn’t fit as much in the game, not very “tech-y” so it would make more sense as almost an arceus battle theme
Thank you! 😄 Yes it’s a mix of celesta, harp, piano and also ‘desk bells’ from Spitfire Percussion (the desk bells part would not really be playable but I went for a hybrid orchestra/electronic approach for this one!)
Thank you! I used Logic Pro with these sample libraries: Cinematic Studio Strings + Brass, Spitfire Percussion, Strezov Wotan and Freya choirs, XLN Addictive Drums 2, Evolution Rock Standard + Roundwound Bass Guitars (orange tree samples), 8DIO Hybrid Tools. Hope that helps!
I will release it as soon as I can, but to get a license for this Nintendo must first release the game’s soundtrack officially. So it all depends on when that is sadly 😢
It's kinda funny: Normally, Gamefreak puts out those orchestral sounding themes - and people make remixes into other genres. These days, its kinda reversed x) I like it!
