High school is so hard, but the world is SO big and so liberating once you get out of that time of your life. She is so smart, so dedicated, so WORTHY, and she is just far too much for those miserable bullies, and THAT is a true sign of success!! I went through a lot of the same she has and it's devastating sometimes, but I'm confident when I say that the blessed and bountiful life she's going to have going forward is going to make all the struggles she's gone through seem like a distant memory, and the love, friends, achievements yet to come are going to be so much more than she can even dream of. I'm living proof, and she will be too! I will pray for her for a loooong time to come. She is so special, we need her to make her mark on the world. Please let your beautiful girl know that she has people from all around the world (I'm in the UK and a friend in Australia shared this with me) rooting for her and cheering her on. I was bullied for being smart at school, but I'm a former military officer and now I am an A&E/ER doc and clinical director. If I can do it, so can that beautiful girl of yours. She can be whatever she wants to be, and that's what makes the bullies so jealous. They don't have options like your daughter does, but they're too stupid to realise that pulling others down doesn't raise them up. I MUST agree I was enjoying her looks as she stood there in the startling white gown but I held my breath once I viewed her in the stunning peach gown. But ohh my goodness that red gown had me all the way. I loved how they tended to her with accessories from head to toe. And don't let me get started on that beautiful blue number I couldn't look AWAY. But most of all I love how they didn't make the girls mind up when she was STILL on the fence about her dress. I love how this business caters and treats each individual entering with such adoring love.

We do. The best thing that ever happened to me was starting therapy. I advocate therapy to all my friends and family now. We're undoubtedly a strong people, but it doesn't mean we aren't humans with hardships and trauma, like everyone else!

Absolutely! You'll own a business and have a career while they will still be the same small-minded people they've always been. I ran into a bully and her friends years later. I acted like I didn't even know her, and she had to press me with memories. Then I said,'Oh right, that girl, it'd been awhile.' I smiled and said it's nice to see you again, and I turned and left. I heard her friends say that's her as if she didn't even know you, you couldn't have been that great. I've never been happier in my life. Believe me, bullies are temporary, and they lose power when we take it away from them.

Miserable people will bully because they’re not where they want to be.😢I went through that. Because slang wasn’t allowed in my home and I had to speak proper English. I was called “white wannabe be” and teacher’s pet because I wanted to learn and make my parents proud. It breaks my heart that this beautiful baby had to go through such heartache and pain. She may be a future doctor and have to save one of those creatures. People are even pettier now because kids have to deal with trolls 👿 on social media. God Bless this baby and her loving mom for having her back😭Why are people bullied for positivity and praised for negativity.🤦🏾‍♀️I don’t get it.🤷🏽‍♀️

For all the amazing hard work she has put in to her education, to getting through tough times when others tried to hurt her (of course you know all this already!!). To achieve what she has done whilst also dealing with past bullying and more recent chronic illness shows so much strength of character. She looks stunning in the dresses and I hope that she makes the choice that will bring her the most joy! And you are doing a great job looking out for her, rest assured whether she goes to prom or not she has a lot of joy and a bright future ahead of her with your support.

@@juicybodygoddess she said she wants to go she already bought her tickets. She wasn't bullied up here it was back in GA before we moved. She said after the lupus scare she doesn't want to miss any more events. I told her I'll get regardless. Then after we left we broke down and she was like see ma'am. She keeps saying she liked it. The date was ready to get the tux and she feels like it's a lot for one time. But I'm going to keep talking to her. I was planning on calling you tomorrow anyway.

I ask you, are the schools or why don't the schools put more focus on the bullying issue? Why not make it a subject in all grades, in all classes? I don't understand how it's 2024 & bullying is still going strong!

To the point where I would beg my parents to let me walk to the library lol and the librarians would let me take out extra books. I’m from South Central Los Angeles and was often teased for being the “smart” one or the nerd. Well, that nerdiness has led to me being the first in my family to complete a 4 year college degree. And then I went on to get my Ph.D. in psychology. And anybody who had a negative word to say about me, now can say it while putting the Dr. before my name lol I say all of this to communicate that life can be hard. People can be trash and mean. But there are so many of us out here rooting for you, lil sis. I say that as a Black woman, a Black woman psychologist, and someone who has 100% confidence that you are worthy and you are wonderful. Those folks who have nothing to do but bully you can kick rocks. That’s just my professional opinion 😉❤
