@@TheBeardedBobber shocks and new tires are the next to go. We have 9k miles in stock tires and still have a lot of life. I’m anal about checking pressures though. What shocks do you recommend?
@@Sodiumfreeriding I hear great things about progressive. I have the fox shocks myself. They were a little pricey but there is crazy prices out there for shocks too

good to hear the bobber again, sounds so good and mean lol. i understand that the step up is supposed to hold you in place, like "locked in ". ive never rode with a step up, but wouldnt you want to move a little, or is that seat so good that you dont need to?
She is gonna be meaner soon. It mainly locks you in from sliding back when twisting the throttle. The Corbin is similar gives a lip so you don’t going rushing back.
For my 10” bars it needed longer cables my clutch cable measurement I don’t remember how much longer but mine is too long. I’m actually gonna add a 1” riser soon and I’ll still have too much for it. mine is 72 7/8” total from Magnum shielding
I’m sure you’ve answered this before, but what’s your sissy bar set up? That’s the one thing that I don’t think saddleman makes. Definitely considering this seat!
I put a step up on my bobber. I love it. I do have a question. Does the gap in the middle (between the bike and the bottom of the seat) decrease as it breaks in? If you look at it from the side you can see right through to the other side as well as the ugly red wires. Im 99% sure its installed correctly. Its very snug against the tank. I have a sissy bar and ends bags on it so im not in a rush to take it all apart again. Thanks for all you do!
@@TheBeardedBobber I figured it out. The rubber grommet was squished and the peg actually wasn't in it. Much better now. I noticed Indians solution to hiding the red wires was stapling a rubber strip under the oem seat on that side to block it from view. Very happy with how the seat is.
I'm 6'4 in my boots. Curious how that seat would fit me. I have long legs and it looks like I might be pushed little further forward than I should be. I like the design almost anything would be better than the stock seat I hear is uncomfortable and ppl tend to feel like they're sliding off it while riding. Im definitely gonna be looking the market for seat upgrade
The saddlemen does push you up a little more. The Corbin sits back a little bit and the new mustang seat that’s like a two up lower looks to sit back more. I believe @dadwithabike has it on his.
The shocks help a great deal even just for solo riding. The shocks alone would help the passenger and the saddlemen seat is a little narrow for some but you get that in most cases so depends on the passenger.
So the only issue with this seat I have is, everything you want to acsess the battery or some wiering underneath your seat then you have to remove all the other stuff. Like your saddle bags, sissy bar etc.. is it possible to just pop-up the only the front and acsess the battery? Thanks.
No unfortunately with the way the bike and two up seats are designed for the bobbers you have to remove it. From what I’ve seen the other option is having the separate passenger pillion and the solo front part. On my 2018 bobber it didn’t have the pig tail for the battery. So I added one in case I needed a quick access to the battery for charging and stuff. Knock on wood it hasn’t been bad with the step up
