Hey folks! Quick comparison between these two seats.
Did a quick ride on both - quick conclusion is that they LePera definitely seats you lower and slightly back compared to the Saddlemen. I can't really tell a difference in comfort to be honest - they both are on the firm'ish side. The LePera is wider at the back so likely lends to a little more comfort on longer rides but I'll do another video and talk about the seating position, etc... in more detail.

Thanks so much for doing this video. Great comparison. Im literally trying to decide between these 2 seats right now. Definetly cant wait to hear your thoughts once you get more seat time.

I'm still really digging the LaPera. I held on to the SDC just in case - but it's likely going up for sale soon.

Great comparisons, If you dont mind, cud you share the driver length on LePera seat. i know SDC is 14.5" but LePera ..?

If your used to a backrest do you think the le pera is comfortable and wouldnt need a backrest anymore? Or is it not quite high enough for the support

I've never tried one of the Saddlemen's that has the removeable backrest feature so don't have any reference there. The LaPera does seem to provide more support back there I think primarily because it's more angular as I mention in the video...whereas the SDC is a little more sloped in that part. I rode an hour or so yesterday on the LaPera and it's comfy. If I'm being honest it wasn't like night and day shocking how different they are in terms of comfort but the LaPera does sit you down at least an inch or so lower than the SDC - so that was the first noticeable thing for me. I think one would have to crush some miles on both seats to really figure out which one is the best for them in terms of ride height and overall comfort.

I’ve been looking for a seat that is more narrow than the stock due to inner thigh muscle cramp, any advice on which seat would fit better with my issue? Good video! I have an 02 softail if that helps. Thanks in advance

I didn't compare the SDC to the stock seat - it's probably about the same...but the SDC is narrow for sure.

How are you liking the LePera? I've got the SDC currently and am debating between sticking with what I've got, the Kick Flip for the lower profile passenger seat as I rarely ride 2 up, or the Tail Whip with the wider driver seat pan. I love the locked in feel of my SDC but it's just not quite as comfy as I remember it being on my Dyna. Granted I have about 3k on my current SDC Softail seat and had probably 8k+ on the Dyna seat. Would love your input. Thanks!

It's the seat that's been on my bike since I got it. Much more comfortable than the SDC probably because it's wider. I've got a custom Corbin on the way (they sent me the first one but it was stitched and colored wrong so I sent it back). I'll do a 3 way comparison with the SDC, LaPera and the Corbin once I get it.
