I was a Sophomore in high school back in 1992 when I first saw the video and heard this song. Both my Sister and I share the same birthday but we are 6yrs apart and June 5th is our day. She passed away in 2012 from heart failure and to this day when I hear this song, I can feel her soul intertwine with my mine and it always calms my fears and pain of losing my Gemini twin!.... Sade has NEVER been really really dark skinned... even in her earlier videos. It must be the bright lights that are making her look lighter lol. Anyway, doesn't matter to me. She's super talented and lovely. Even if she did lighten her skin (which I doubt) doesn't take away from the fact that she's an awesome musician and THAT IS NOT FAKE!!! :)

I had the privilege to be at this exact concert, it was my very first concert, MIND BLOWING, the overall lighting and visual effects took you into the music and her BAND, to hear them in person stirred all kind of emotions inside! Sade. A true musician, gorgeous woman with one of the best voices ever. No tricks and gimmicks, just a natural warm tone that is truly unique. Plus no scandals, sex tapes and crap like that. I always had and always will have an enormous respect for her and her choice not to fall in the market's pit of doom. Thank you for the great music.

The year is 2001. I am at a Sade concert at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA. My date and I are in the very last seat of the third row, but the rows curve so I am actually first row no more than 8 feet from the right side of the stage. The lights dim and Sade begins to sing this song. The crowd falls into an enchanted silence as she wraps us in the velvety warmth of her voice. As the song progresses Sade moves like the goddess Hathor gliding ever closer to where I am sitting. She stands directly in front of us, blotting out everything else in existence. Her powerful presence is all I can see and hear. My heart is pounding like hammer and steel. Her arm rises and then she dips her hand to me to let me know she is singing directly to me. I cannot look away from the windows of her soul. "This is no ordinary love, no ordinary love." My heart feels as though it will explode. Thank you Sade for giving me the most powerful emotional event of my entire life. You transcend light and beauty. ~ Truly your fan forever, Kevin.
