That's the big change. In India education system is only a business. Just pay your fees and take ur certificate. Practical knowledge is nothing. In ancient India there were gurukul. That was best.
During my time, government school was torture. Then I promised myself, if I ever have a child in future- I will rather homeschool her / him. That extra free time, they get to learn via traveling and community service.

I truly agree with him, no one talks about creativity in my school. School teaches us ‘how’ this is happening but never ‘why’ this is happening. In Boards, it is compulsary to have 75% attendence otherwise you are not allowed to give examinations. I want to ask why such rules are implemented, why don't you make school such a place that children can enjoy. After lock down we are having 5 classes upto 50 minutes, its so frustrating to sit almost 5 HOURS at a same place for children and as well as teachers. But how does it matter to school, all they want is 95% marks and 75% attendence.

As a someone who has just come out of secondary school I'm extremely on board with what sadhguru is saying, but I think these ideas will take up to 50 years to be realised.
I am in 11th now and I thought that I would atleast get a percentage of the benefits of NEP. But it's only going to be implemented from 2022......atleast the younger generation will get to experience it

I believe that Sanskrit should be the second language and everyone should be taught it Pros : all state people have a common language, apart from the mother language. Just because most of them know hindi doesn't make it a national language. All vedas need to taught to everyone, where vedas has lot of knowledge than west and middle east knowledge. Sadhguru, Namaskar. I am trying to understand why the Educ System is not going back to the Gurukul system, where a child stays in ashram / boarding school. Practically in today's context, it can even be a 5 day boarding school. As you mentioned about continuity of study of different subjects, Gurukul system can provide you more time at a single stretch. Even starting from early morning Yoga, to sports, to educ from books, etc. This all is possible in a boarding school. And on Weekend, the child goes home without any formal homework.
Education has to be extremely flexible While it used to happen in Gurukula, in s Guru sishya parampara, children's interest has to be known and they be inspired, nurtured do they know enjoy learning, collaborating with others in first hand, then toning their interests in R&D perspective, technology, arts etc and subsequent do the next they choose You are right Sadhguru ji, Creating doctors, engineers, accountants, scientists, police, military, administrators, politicians, entrepreneurs is required for the society, it will happen better and thry contribute to the society when they realize their interest and go immerse themselves in it I would have enjoyed studying in 1 or 2 schools instead of changing 12+ institutions before joining graduation if education policy as this existed in 1990 Glad thd govt started taking their decisions for future generations

One of the main reason why it's still difficult to make a major change is because of the admission processes to pursue some studies abroad. Universities still look at the redundant test scores and have already set a fixed rank for each university in India, not because of anything relevant to actual learning, but in its essence because of its "prestige". Nevertheless, this is one of the big steps taken to an enormous change, for which we must all work together. Let's make education an exciting and enjoyable environment for all children.

I wonder what kind of world this would be if Kids held school for adults to teach them to reconnect with their own childhoods. Probably a pretty chaotic one but maybe not at all a worse one.
Yet another idea is, government of India has agricultural research centers in rural India, almost in every state. The agricultural research centers must install K-12 in the same campus so rural children in agricultural families can grow learning mostly agriculture science, but also mathematics, basic agricultural economics, computers, and so forth. This will allow those children to advance education while also work with family members on the field as trainees without being labeled “child labor”. Good way to advance learning the art and science of agriculture.

I also was asked a question by a fellow to whom I told according to Bhagvad Geeta chepter 15 the power of almighty is spreaded within all livingbeings at same time in each & every atom. So what ever we eat some parts of it converts in to usually red coloured blood & energy. So he questioned me why even though we ear different color foods it always converts in to nearly red colour? At that I couldn't answer him. I asked some intellectuals. One of them answered that he thinks as blood is a form of iron & in the body due to high temperature. Once the iron is heated up to liquid form it converts in red colour & also when iron rusts it converts in to brownish red colour. Still don't know the correct answer. As Sadguru said H2 O. As science is water. Does all of us understand this. At the same time if the blood in our body is flowing at high temperature we don't feel it or get burnt at same time our why doesn't our digestive systems our inner get burnt due to high temperature. For example if our hands touch some things hot, we get a boil on our hands??????
Despite all the weaknesses in western system still our spritual gurus are comfortable in west using english as the language. Let's accept that west has made significant contributions. We could not control our population so we should not be blaming west . The most indiscipline lots are Indians. Indian knowledge base may be great but Indians???? All these videos are in place because of western world. They are wise enough to use our indian systems wisely
Reducing the economic disparity is the key for development of any society and the proposed changes in the education system doesn't really make any efforts towards that. Social, behavioural education, social responsibility, national responsibility must be taught in the schools, but that area is also ignored for years and now also I don't see any focus in proposed changes.
