the way Gi Hun cried for her and cradled her lifeless body broke me. when he realised Sangwoo, his childhood best friend, killed her he didn't hesitate to jump on him. Gi Hun literally turned off his sympathetic facade in the final battle mainly bc of Saebyeok's death. Man's probably projected his paternal side to her since he wasn't really the best dad to his own kid.
Their friendship was priceless... Wish Sae-Byeok survived 😭 I'll never forget how caring and how kind she actually was, despite it has always seemed that she is emotionless and careless.
A lot of us agree that we see Sae-byeok and Gi-hun as a father and daughter relationship. When she died, you could really tell Gi-hun was heartbroken because to him I believe he started to think she reminded him a lot of his daughter. Just his interaction with her when he saw she was injured reminds me a lot of how my father showed concern whenever I got injured.
He cried for her when she died and litterly was heartbroken like she was his real daughter like he had known her for so long if he cried this much for her just imagine what he would do if he lost his actuall daughter Ga Yeong
O my gosh after scrolling so many comments I found someone who thinks like me finally 😘😘😘💝💖💖💗I think thing they were in love with each other I mean she helped him on the glass bridge 💗💗
"Friendship never dies" you are so right I'm sure in the show Gi Hun is still thinking of her and I'm pretty sure he still loves her just like he did in the games (I'm talking about him in the show not irl btw)
Sae Byeok's death was by far the saddest & most well-written, in my opinion: It happens so quickly that we don't even actually see it. She's alive one minute & then gone the next. That's it. She didn't put up a fight & her death itself wasn't anything special. She was simply caught off guard, in a weakened state & unable to defend herself. Her death is definitely one I'll remember though. Gi-hun not being there to protect her, because he was trying to get her help, just makes it that much more heartbreaking.
I feel like at some point, Gi-hun thought sae byeok was his daughter, and saw ga yeong in her before she died, thats why he wanted them to save her so badly.
0:04 to 0:17 is a fantastically emotional moment, she delivers that line and it stops him completely. Here were 2 bloodied but genuine humans who still had a soul that could be reached, and one psycho in Sang Woo left. A big fuck you to the VIPs. They didn’t turn them all into monsters squabbling for money.
Squid game got my feelings Ali:betrayed by sang-woo Ji-yeong:sacrificed for sye-byeok so she could make it alive I’ll-nam:made best friend with gi-hun when nobody else did
I can see where this is represented by friendship or parenthood, but these two definitely had some kind of a spark. It’s such an unpopular opinion but it’s how I’ve felt since I first saw the show and I go with my gut feelings. It has the elements to be reworked into a tragic love story. This isn’t meant to discredit anybody else’s opinion, just my own perspective =].
@@user-sy2pj8pf3j I plan on mentioning this further in depth in an upcoming video, but I’m in a Discord server called Squid Game Simps, you should check us out! 💗
@Calcroze If Sae-Byeok had let Gi-Hun kill Sang-Woo when he had the chance, he would have gotten her help and they would have been in the final game together. In the show, the guards have stated that there can be 2 or more winners, as long as all people involved agree and want to split the money. So if Gi-Hun had killed Sang-Woo when he had fallen asleep, Gi-Hun and Sae-Byeok would have split the money and both went home. Sae-Byoek and Ji-Yeong were my favorite characters so I'm really hurt that they both died. Especially when Ji-Yeong's last wish was for Sae-Byeok to get out of there alive and go to Jeju Island. I was hoping there would have been an error and they didn't kill Ji-Yeong. I was hoping she, Sae-Byoek, and Gi-Hun could get out of there alive. Where Gi-Hun went to see he daughter and actually parent her, Sae-Byeok could get her brother out of the orphanage and her mother out of North Korea, and Ji-Yeong get to go with them to Jeju Island. I really ship Ji-Yeong and Sae-Byeok, and they both deserved to get out of there alive and spend their lives together. I swear, Sae-Byeok could have took Ji-Yeong, Cheol, and her mother to Jeju Island. I'm hurt..
He started off hating her for taking his money, and she started off completely indifferent to him/ seeing him as an easy mark to steal from. I think if she survived, she would have also gone and found his daughter to get the money to her. They cared about each other in the end despite all the other players turning against each other and it seemed like their humanity came out despite everyone else losing theirs.
The father daughter relationship they had was wholesome, I love both of them ❤ Gi-hun couldn't treat his mother better but he can treat Sae Byeok like his own daughter. He cared so much about her, even though she started as the "pickpocket" to him. Throughout the show, these two are my most favourite. (As well as the other ones of course.)
I first thought that Gi Hun was gonna hate her throughout the entire show becouse of how he always yelled at her for stealing his money and called her "pickpocket" but they started to bond really fast Gi Hun I guess started to think of her as his daughter as the show went on and as they got to know more about each other they started to think and love each other like a family it's just how I saw them throughout the show and tbh I actually started to think like she was actually his daughter Ik it doesn't really make sence but that bond they had though come on
@@EneaAndAleasWorld970 yeah, true. Gi-hun probably was just not thinking straight, since he was only going up to her for the money she stole/pickpocketed from him. Well I guess they were bonding pretty quick.
Yeah do that and you will feel better when I am sad I doing but my plush or breath in and out I just but myself trying to calm me down yes I am a self-lover
I don't know what kind of relationship I see between these 2 but I feel like they just love each other soo much they had such an emotional relationship in the show like just the moment that Gi Hun and Sae Byeok (sry if I spelled her name wrong) had before her dying was just soooo emotional I honasly cried when Sae Byeok died (again sorry if I spelled her name wrong) and I felt sooo bad for Gi Hun when she died you vould litterly see how heartbroken he was when he saw her dead and when her brother asked him where she is now whas just sooo sad again I don't know what kind of relationship I see between them but it is deffenenlty something like family ❤❤❤ Edit: OMG plot twist what if they're actually related like she is his long lost daughter OMG that would be like why Gi Hun loves her and cares about her so much Edit (again): I have no idea why that came to my mind but it could be possible
There meant to be a Dad and Daugther They touched bc they remind me of mah dad and me 🤧😭❤ ( this made me cry a lot ) If sang woo didnt kill sae byeok she would have been still alive rn she wasn't meant to die :
Not really but he wanted to stay alive and killed her just to try to win the game but unfortunately he haven’t won but he felt in the inside that he never really wanted to stab her 💀💀
@@boringvideofan2129 yah he did it for his survive, I didn't blame him when he kill ali and the glass worker. If am at his place I also did the same thing. But he kill sae byeok there is no honest reason. He think that gi hun and sae byeok team up together and make a strong team much powerful than him and also he think gi hun maybe end the game for her life. He gave importance to money more than a young life. At that time he became a humanity less human being. And his death didn't make me cry. He didn't deserve suicide he must be killed by someone, like the way he killed sae byeok.
@@nadine7085 money 7 rings and senorita it could be. It's so beautiful that I would be very happy if you do special edits with gi hun and sae byeok from time to time.💙🙏🏻😊
Omg so sad the way Gi Hun cried for help and 067 idk how to spell her name but I can't be Live it she was so close she could have lived but the promise they made will live forever and and at least 067 is safe in the clouds watching over Gi Hun and thanking him... ty for this video it makes my day
Exactly he litterly seemed to me like an interly different person (sry if I spelled it wrong) in the 6th game and tbh I feel like her death hurt him the most throughout the games (not the whole entire show cause ofc he has lost a lot of ppl outside the games as well but just in the games) and I think that he countinued and won the last game for Sae Byoek to keep his promise and help her brother witch I think was so sweet 😭💔
Hey it's ok she never died in fact she is still alive go watch some behind the scenes and there you will see they were playing red light green light but when the doll moved they walked and they didn't die so the glass bridge was also fake
This has me crying 😰. Hope we can see sae byeok in season 2 through flashbacks or at least in some capacity. Also, I don't know why but I get the feeling the Gi Hun is eventually going to die himself. 😞
