The part that mostly hurt me was when he finally realized he got betrayed at the last minute and it was too late 😔 like think about it, your in this crazy game, you make a friend you trust and that friend trusts you back, till all of a sudden your in one of those games where it seems you both might die and just when you both have a plan your friend that you trusted stabs you in the back at the last minute and you don’t realize till it’s too late. And it’s like yeah you wanna live and I do to but that just makes our friendship seem like nothing because of how you betrayed me like it could have went more gently but now out of all that I would have been like “wow this is the last thing I’m gonna think of before I die” SO the whole thing is just extremely painful 💔
we get to learn something from sangwoo and ali’s friendship. Don’t be too kind that you forget to be clever and don’t be too clever that you forget to be kind
The lyrics “Guess you didn’t cheat, but you’re still a traitor” and “You betrayed me and I know that you’ll never feel sorry” literally describes sang woo and Ali’s friendship
If I was Ji I would do the same thing... It broke my heart and she wanted byeok to survive and she was killed badly...I don't like that and I never will. Ji is a loyal and amazing girl she deserves the world 🤧
everyone’s talking about them but let’s also not forget the brothers (Jun Ho and In Ho). for sure Jun Ho felt betrayed when he saw the man who’s behind the mask, the front man- the one in charge of the games.
@@saturn6563 no its okay, I had already finished the series by the time I read this comment, but I hadn't understood that h was his brother, I thought he was some old friend or something lmao
Saebyeok and ji yeong developed a friendship in just a little amount of time and when the teamed up and found out that only one of them could get out. I was crying when ji yeong dropped her marble on purpose so that saebyeok could win. My heart literally broke when ji yeong smiled and thanked saebyeok for partnering up with her. 😭😭😭😭😭😭
lifeThat's what happened to me my "friend" once said "I promise that we will "forever" stay "friends" and I'll never betray you !" That's what you promised..? Well.. you broke it and me.. :) this happened recently and I'm still scarred by it now I have social anxiety and trust issues. Well you see, if you break a huge promise that you said to someone think before you do.. Or else you'll hurt someone mentally maybe physically and emotionally :( she hurt me mentally, physically and emotionally. So think before you do.
Something Ive learned is some friends are there just for your kindness, Ive learned to never reveal my true self because Im afraid to get taken advantage of again
I wish Ali would’ve told Gi-Hun he had a family. But he favored Sang-Woo given how nice he was at first, so of course he told Sang he had a family. He trusted Sang-Woo. But if he told Gi-Hun.... Gi-Hun would’ve tried to find them.
I hope theres something to do that when everyone dies, they cure them because I cant deal that only Gi hun had a smile in his photo but now hes crying from all those deaths 😭😭😭
throughout the entire show sae-byeok didnt show many compassionate feelings to anyone, it was just numb. you could clearly see how hurt she was from ji-yeong's death.
ik it was cruel how a strange girl sacrified herself for sae-byeok because she had a brother, also she forgot sometimes that she or sae-byeok were going to die, like when she said that if they win the game they will celebrate both
Ji-yeong and Saebyeok were just an amazing duo, Ji-yeong dying was probably the worst death for me, she sacrificed herself. She had to no one to go to if she did make it out. I WILL ALWAYS APPRECIATE JI-YEONG FOR THE NOBLE SACRIFICE ❤️
Ali and Sangwoo's story really fits to this line: Sangwoo: "What if I break your trust someday?" Ali: "Trusting you is my decision, proving me wrong is your choice."
Sangwoo literally knew about Ali’s condition and his family. Ali told him about his 1 year old son too and Sangwoo also told Ali to call him “Hyung”. Episode 6 really turned him into a selfish creature who wouldn’t care about any sacrifices and by the last 2 episodes, he literally turned into an evil soul! I felt so bad for Saebyeok, especially considering the fact that she did not just want to win the game for her brother but even for Jiyeong who sacrificed her life just so Saebyeok could win… Edit: This comment was posted 2 months back when I was still upset about the deaths. I no longer think Sangwoo is an evil soul, what he did wasn’t right but it was his human instinct to survive. His intention right from the beginning was to take the money, not die! His death at the end isn’t supposed to be his loss but his punishment for what he had turned into. A punishment he gave to himself. RIP Sangwoo
Yes, literally, there's a time that i was mixing a coffee with milk, and i had to put sugar in it, but the sad thing is, i had put salt in the mixed coffee. So i had realized, you have to make sure the quality of the product, so as with the people around to whom you interact with and have came on your life
The main character wouldn’t be alive without Ali, Ali was so kind hearted, and put a lot of trust into people (like sangwoo...) he had a whole family, what did sangwoo have? Not much, a lot of debt though, just goes to show that he didn’t feel sorry.
“You have something to go back for… I don’t” “Let’s go to Jeju island together… oh, right” “Kang Sae Byeok, thanks… for playing with me” God, her death hurt me so bad omg, like I cried for so long because of them
i would've loved to see more of the friendship between Sae-Byeok and Ji-Yeong, but i loved how they spent the time talking. although the marble drop killed me and Ali is too good for this world
The “guess you didn’t cheat, but you’re still a traitor” part really hurts me because in the marbles game, the rules are to to take all ten marbles from your partner to win. And it doesn’t say how, or that you can’t use other tactics to win. So technically, Sangwoo didn’t break the rules. But he’s still a traitor
Ji-yeong's & Ali's death are the ones that I'll never forget. Ali was betrayed by sang-woo, it was so sad because Ali really trusted him. Ji-yeong, standing there smiling, laughing telling Sae-byeok "I was happy to be your partner" and she lost because she didn't have a purpose. 😭 I’m not crying, I'm cutting onions. 😭
Lyrics: Ooh-ooh-ooh Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah [Brown guilty eyes and little white lies Yeah, I played dumb but I always knew That you talked to her, maybe did even worse I kept quiet so I could keep you And ain't it funny How you ran to her The second that we called it quits? And ain't it funny How you said you were friends? Now it sure as hell don't look like it You betrayed me And I know that you'll never feel sorry For the way I hurt, yeah You talked to her when we were together Loved you at your worst but that didn't matter It took you two weeks to go off and date her Guess you didn't cheat but you're still a traitor Now you bring her around Just to shut me down Show her off like she's a new trophy And I know if you were true There's no damn way that you Could fall in love with somebody that quickly Ain't it funny? All the twisted games All the questions you used to avoid? Ain't it funny? Remember I brought her up And you told me I was paranoid? You betrayed me And I know that you'll never feel sorry For the way I hurt, yeah You talked to her when we were together Loved you at your worst but that didn't matter It took you two weeks to go off and date her Guess you didn't cheat but you're still a traitor God, I wish that you had thought this through Before I went and fell in love with you When she's sleeping in the bed we made Don't you dare forget about the way You betrayed me 'Cause I know that you'll never feel sorry For the way I hurt, yeah You talked to her when we were together You gave me your word but that didn't matter It took you two weeks to go off and date her Guess you didn't cheat but you're still You're still a traitor Yeah, you're still a traitor God, I wish that you had thought this through Before I went and fell in love with you
Watching Ali’s death was torture, but the fact that his wife and son may never get to know what actually happened to him is just…. *leaves to cry again
@@user-hd4pd4sl2j The old guys death, AkA 001, didn’t actually get shot! He’s the creator of the game! Well, this is what I think! You don’t have to believe me ^^ Edit : Will you guys stop saying I spoilt it? I didn’t mean to. Stop saying this I get it.
@@madewhole-ev4uy no actually, the instructor told them to play games and then get your partner's marbles, they never said you had to get your partner's marbles from playing the games and think about it this way since they said they only had to get their partner's marbles couldn't they have just switched marble bags?
I cried when Ali died, he should of won. i didn’t give a fuck abt Sang-woo he tried to commit suicide and he still wants to live after. That’s bullshit
I literally burst into tears when Ji Yeong sacrificed herself and said to Sae Byeok "Someone who has a good reason should live, Make sure you leave this place alive" but it ended up that Sae Byeok didn't survived😭😭 Sorry if my grammar is bad
the marble game was by far the most peaceful and painful game in the series because they realize they have to partner with their friends just to betray and kill each other :(
Sangwoo and Ali’s friendship was legit from the start. He gave Ali money and let Ali borrow his phone…everything was pure kindness. It’s just that that time, his life was on the line. So he decided to betray him.
Sang-Woo didn't need the money, he just needed it for his loans and for his financial fraud situation, and he already manipulated his mother into thinking he's rich in another country, he already had a lot of guilt so if I were him, I would give the marbles to Ali who had a family that needed him and badly needed the money.
I couldn't watch Ali getting betrayed because he was so precious, sweet and kind and the way he calls them sir is so innocent. And Sangwoo didn't even feel sorry, what a traitor!
sang woo was probably the most human character, who showed actual human attributes in a situation like this, where he became desperate to live so he betrayed him
to mw the others were just as human, but the way they grew up and their nature changes how they act. for people like ali he is a lot more trusting than sangwoo by nature, so yk
@@untitled9535 If you don’t mind spoilers, go ahead and read. Honestly they don’t really show much about aftermath except for Saebyeok’s brother getting adopted. And regardless, he still doesn’t know her whereabouts a year after everyone dies. And it seems that way for every family, Sangwoo’s mom seemed curious as well.
I don't want him either. But this is what I loved about the show. It's so real, and somewhere around the world a lot of Ali is existing but they always got betrayed.
*SPOILER* oh Il-nam was the saddest im my opinion the reason is because he never played the marble game even tho he the creator of the organization and nobody had picked him as a partner before so he would stop playing but the mc was sooo nice and picked him as a partner but soon Il-name learned the game rules he acted clueless and basically gave the mc the free win that's why that's the saddest
JiYeong’s death was the worst for me, seeing her smile before she died and then it immediately cuts to SaeByeok having tears running down her face as she gets shot😭😭she sacrificed herself so SaeByeok could help her family and she never got the chance to. It feels cruel because if SaeByeok never got punctured by the glass, she definitely would have won. Both of their deaths were senseless and both actresses did fantastic jobs.
I feel bad for Ali. He was so kind to help his partner bc he couldn’t stand killing someone. So trustworthy and kind I can’t when I saw the video when he.
Sae Byeok was really a tragic character. Her brother doesn’t spend much time with her, her mom got sent back while trying to escape North Korea, her father died and the only person she knew in South Korea other than her brother was the gangster Deok Su, who abused her. She had no real human connection until Ji Yeong became her partner. Ji Yeong not only wanted to know about Sae Byeok’s life, but also wanted to be a part of it, promising that she would go to Jeju Island with her if they get out together. Unfortunately only one of them could survive. Ji Yeong ultimately chose to sacrifice herself, saying that Sae Byeok had somebody, her brother, to live for while she had nothing. The only true human connection she had was taken from her and despite being desensitized to pain from her past experiences, there was pain and hurt in her eyes and her shaky breath as she saw ji yeong purposely throw the game and heard the gunshot coming from behind her
@@aianaramos8083 fr tho. Sae Byeok finally had a person who wanted to be with her. Not even her brother, her own family, wanted to spend time with her. The more i look into her, the more tragic it gets 😩
I can't even imagine how Ali must have felt that time when he knows the person he trust the most betrayed him at the end. He must have felt so betrayed and wronged like their friendship and sangwoo's kindness means nothing to sangwoo. I got hurt badly, still thinking bout this part. It was so wrong.
Honestly if most people were in Sang-woo’s shoes, they would probably do the same thing. I’m not saying that what he did was right but let’s be honest, no one wants to die, so most people would do anything to survive, even if it means betraying your own friend
At first I thought sang-woo stole 20 marbles from another player. I never knew he took Ali’s own until Ali checked to see that his sack was filled with rocks instead of marbles
honestly, it was a life or death situation and the thought of being able get over a billion dollars to cover your debt and save your family is amazing. And ali taught us no matter how loyal you think a person is there will always be a chance they will turn on you at any moment
@@alessandraganal6163 nah they meant Canon. Canon basically means that it obeys the way its written. so it's Canon that sang woo went to snu for example but any shipping in he show is Fanon. (Canon by fans) get it or should I explain better?
i know everybody is talking about ali, but we can all agree that he didn’t deserve to die. he is the reason Gi-Hun us alive. He held his shirt when he almost tripped in the first level
