When I open the lid to adjust coffee grinder my machine stops and won’t let me do anything until the lid is closed . So needless to say it will not let me adjust it?. Can I bypass this somehow

would you happen to know what the differences between this machine and the gaggia anima prestige machine? They both look the same but one is cheaper than the other. I do know they're under the same company but dont know what the difference would be since they look identically. but different prices.

Hi Gail! Great video! thank you for that. I have a few questions. Looking into it and it will help me make my decision. We drink A LOT of espresso, DAILY!! So here are my questions: 1. do you have to put the beans in at every brew or is there a "tank" for that like the commercial one? 2. You mentioned oily beans are a no no...are you familiar with Don Pablo's espresso blend? I love it and wonder if it is ok in this machine. 3. will the machine allow you to brew if the water level is too low? any indicators? 4. how about the descalling process? how complicated is that and do you have a preferred descaler that you use? Coffee people constantly refer to the high demands on a grinder to produce an espresso quality grind, SCG certainly no exception. Often a Rocky class grinder considered the minimum point to get consistent high quality results. Are we to believe then that the little grinder mech in this machine can really grind that fine or is this really just a $1,000 counter top statement piece for the uninformed? I've never seen one of these or tasted the coffee it produces but my gut says a Rocky and a Technivorm would blow this thing away and leave quite a pile of money left over.

But like... why did you throw those coffee beans away when they only touched your hand?

What's the difference between this and the gaggia accademia they look identical

I have this exact machine and every time I am making a drink with milk. It starts with running hot water out of the spout for 3-4 second then it starts with the milk. Is this how it’s supposed to be because it seems like the hot water dilutes the milk and the entire drink.
