Thank you so much! It really was a dream, I think it still hasn’t hit me even now. But yes a magical experience! You have inspired me to try and get some badger photography shots, i’ll see how it goes! There is a really good wildlife hide in Scotland where you can see badgers so I might try that too - never been to one! But i’ll keep you posted with how it goes. I hope you are doing well and still out looking for foxes 🦊🙂

@@wildandfreevictoria oh that is super exciting! I love the badgers. I have two sets close to my house. I found the second one last month while looking for the foxes den ( still no sign of the den to be found) I actually seen my first badger of the year two days ago. But I look forward to your photography of the badgers, hopefully you make a video 🦡

Aww they are such wonderful creatures! I always end up following any signs of one! That’s lovely you have them right near your home and have seen them already! Fingers crossed you can capture some shots of them! And yes if it all goes to plan i’ll make a video of it, i’m quite excited! Will be off to see puffins too! 🙂🙂

Wow, many lovely images. The ones with the sun in the background, especially the ones with the zebras, just scream "Africa". I also love the ones around the 3:28 mark, because of the the many green tints. The photos in black and white are a great touch too and black and white obviously fits the zebras well. 🙃 Besides the imagery it's also heartwarming to see how much this experience meant to you (I saw others comment the same, so it's really evident in this video). ☺ Looking forward to seeing the mountain gorillas! 😃

Thank you soooooo much!! I have a big grin reading this! Yes that morning and seeing those zebras really hit me I remember think “wow, this is Africa!”. Yes the colours and landscape is so vibrant there! And thank you for your compliments to my black and whites! Yes people (including yourself) have been so lovely in their comments and it makes me very happy knowing you can see how much it means to me. I think that was a big aim with my channel, to only put stuff out that comes from the heart rather than just quantity. Thank you! I’ll get working on it! And have a wonderful day! 🙂🙂

Hi Victoria, did you shoot in a B&W jpeg recipe, or RAW and converted to B&W in LR? Lovely photo… I’m off on a safari in March, and can’t wait… 👍🏻

The experience looks great, and the photos are really nice. I am a Fuji user, and I love wildlife photography, but what I enjoy about your videos is the profound effect that these experiences seem to have on you. You’re not just trying to tick a box to get a pretty picture. You feel the experience and that is evident in the photos and video you capture. Hats off to you.

This really made me smile so much. Thank you for just taking the time to watch and leaving such a touching comment. You are so right, it’s not about a pretty picture but expecting the whole thing. I had been waiting many years for a trip like this and a lot of effort and heart went into getting there, so yes it did mean the absolute world to be there. And more so that you could see that, thank you again. You never know how sharing something so positive and lovely can have such a lovely impact on someone’s day so thank you again ☺️

Hi Victoria, you offer such a refreshing way to talk about wildlife that I’m sorry to ask you something about gear. Is AF performance the reason why you’ve selected the X-H2S over the X-H2? I have the X-H2 myself for cropping reasons but I must admit it shows limitations for birds in flight situations (even if I got nice images but not every time). Thanks again for sharing your stories
@wildandfreevictoria
@wildandfreevictoria Год назад
Thank you very much, that is appreciated 🙃 and the simple reason was that I was testing the XH2S out for a review but I just loved it, in particular for it’s filming - something i’ve been getting into a lot more. I wanted a camera I could get good shots with but also decent filming. I have never tried the XH2 but i’ve heard it is a great camera for photography 🙃

i am really looking forwards to getting a safari, just stuck for ideas on south Africa/ Kenya, Tanzania where is doesn't cost an extortionate amount. Do you have any recommendations??
@wildandfreevictoria
@wildandfreevictoria 6 месяцев назад
I am not too sure as I booked it all in a one trip, but I think South Africa I pretty popular, Tanzania is probably easier to get to in some respects and is a beautiful place - also get to visit Zanzibar when you are there 🙂
