Do you want to learn the safe isolation procedure for a three phase circuit? Take a couple of minutes to watch our skilled trainer, Sam, show you the basic procedure we use when safely isolation a 3 phase installation.
All electrical installations must be isolated and proven dead before any form of work can begin. Securely ‘disconnecting’ (isolating) one or all parts of the installation from the live supply is called ‘Safe Isolation’. There are several ways of isolating an installation, the most common method is by means of a main switch.
Please do not forget to obtain permission before carrying out the safe isolation procedure from your client!

Great but switch off and lock-off first and always prove that your tester is working before and after use if not it might be faulty.

He did prove his tester, he proved it on the known supply

Thanks for the video but shouldn't you have tested your testing equipment before estarting ? What if you tester was faulty ? 🤔🤔

He did. He used the known source of supply 2:00 - 2:15 to test that the voltage indicator is working correctly

Yes he did, I just don't know if I would pass the course doing that way. I was told to test your tester with a proving unit before 🤔🤔

@@wagabira you can do both, prove it with the proving unit or a known use of supply. Both are recognised in city and guilds

Dear Sir, the one-phase or three-phase isolation procedure (sequence) should be in more detail, this process you are explaining should be for everyone , you should explain the sequence of testing like Broun and Black, Broun and Grey, Black and grey, or L1 and L2, L2 and L3, L2 and L3, this very important for the beginners, and I hop you accept my comment.
