I've been investigating how to get your baby to sleep and found a great website at Calmer Fixer Blueprint (look it up on google)

Yes to everything but the bit about swaddling. As long as it's not too tight or done too long it is safe for the hips

So why do they swaddle babies at the hospital if its unsafe?
@wolfdog3226
@wolfdog3226 5 лет назад
Cheska Marie u wouldn’t perform a c-section at your house right? The nurses are watching the babies 24/7 Unlike at night at the babies house when parents are sleeping
@gp1003

wolf dog322 “the nurses are watching the babies 24/7”? That’s the dumbest thing I ever heard. Swaddling a baby is not unsafe if done properly. Period. Get your facts straight.
@SydneyErisHill
@SydneyErisHill 4 года назад
Swaddling is dangerous for babies who are attempting or capable of rolling over because the tightness across their chest and constricting their arms means they’ll have a harder time readjusting themselves if they wiggle into a position they can’t breathe well in. The other big risk is the blanket being wrapped too loose and posing a suffocation hazard. Since nurses are typically pretty good at swaddling and brand new babies usually aren’t trying to roll yet, swaddling is generally safe in hospital settings.

My precious little baby is 24 months and i co sleep 😴 my little one is in a cot right next to my bed ❤️❤️ my baby will SCREAM if she's left on her own 😥 it's heartbreaking 😥😥 she's in my arms being gently rocked at this moment which is the way my precious little one likes it , she will not let me just lay her down in her crib she loves the comfort of mummy being gently rocked and soothed to sleep sometimes she will be in my arms all night but I don't care 🤗 I will meet all the demands of my beautiful little baby

How do pacifiers reduce sids ??
@Mandeee
@Mandeee 4 года назад
That's what I want to know and "no toys" but you "should leave the pacifier in the crib" and they used a wubbanub for an example. Whaat

Face it, swaddling has risks a sleep sacks not as much. you decide
@louisen6834
@louisen6834 4 года назад
Sleeping bags are not always suitable for new borns. My little one is 7lbs and our sleep sacks are from 9lbs only (0-6 months) due to the risk their head is too small.

they can do that in NICUs because the nurse is always there watching them.

Jasmeet K. Sandhu it doesn’t matter if they can...it creates bad habits for when they come home. My son will not go To bed without a pacifier

Ocean White I was talking about the turning to the side. Not the pacifier use, which they should try to avoid, I know.

@BunnaySango

The gro company makes bags and swaddles that are hip safe. I have never swaddled my baby (too wiggly) personally but Gro bags ( the branded ones not the imitations) have many safety features so they can be used from birth on a full term baby.

My wife and I are discussing a pacifier, we know it reduces sids by up to 90%, our son is 7 days old, and she wants to wait for a couple of months. Should we give it to him? He eats from a bottle and a breast with a breast shield

I don't know how you come to these conclusions that backsleeping for baby in his own bed is safe and best. Babies back is c-curved from being like that in the womb and it's highly uncomfortable to be on their back. Belly sleeping gives babies protection, feeling of safety, more warmth, healthiest for their back and hips, easier for legs to be up.... Sids is actually prevented by co sleeping. It's big time proven. China where co sleeping is the norm, sids doesn't even have a word there.
@tarrahrogers6903
@tarrahrogers6903 5 лет назад
Just because it's more comfortable DOESN'T mean it's safe, this video explains exactly why sleeping on their stomachs is unsafe. It's also not based on statistics from CHINA, but the United States.

you're comparing a womb with something as unatural and unbreathable as a matress where they can smother ( suffocate). some babies can't move their necks on their own these experts ( we're talking specialized doctors here) study HOW a baby highly likely died. jesus. you think this is a conspiracy?? this is no joke
@sashaewing
@sashaewing 5 лет назад
xoxXOXO Definitely, I saw stories of babies attempting to turn their heads, getting stuck, and smothering while being on their tummy.
@moumitapaul9445

Sleeping in tummies is not good for health not even for adults let alone for babies, in babies it may cause suffocation, I have hear about a 6 month old baby die from suffocation while sleeping in her tummy in news
