The ashton Drake babies are gorgeous.I bought my daughter about five dolls from them,in the Uk.I bought her them as collectibles when she was young and they are still in lovely condition and she has two children of her own now.
I would like to suggest buyer beware, if you are buying from the Bradford Exchange ( at least the Canadian one), the doll in the images is the prototype. What you recieved is NOT the same doll. I've been disappointed multiple times by them, and have chosen to send them back instead of trying to have the doll fixed. Look for reviews off site, and pay attention to the images. Just as an example, I bought Abby Rose, only to find out they had 2 different versions, a beautiful one, and one that looked like it came from Walmart. Guess which one I was charged for, and which one I received. Apparently this is common, unfortunately. So definitely look up reviews of the dolls, so you can see what you will get, as opposed to the prototype used in the advertisements.
Hi, I recently tried to buy an ashton drake baby but because im in Ireland the dolls available were so limited and the sites in US and UK refuse to post here. really disgusted with that discrimination.
I've found some good websites but they all have weights that are less than 3 lbs! (About 1.5 kg) I want the baby to not just look real, but also feel real weight wise
I know this is an older comment but I thought Id share for anyone else who has this issue (or you if you havent found a solution yet!) You can buy plastic poly pellets online or in craft stores (these are what go in weighted blankets). Most babies have cloth bodies with vinyl arms legs and head which are held on with zip ties, meaning you can remove them easily and they are not hard to reattach with a new zip tie. (Be careful not to make the new tie too tight or your doll won't be as poseable. If that happens you can just cut the tie and do it again though.) If you want your baby to have more weight you can remove one of the vinyl pieces (I prefer the head because it gives you the biggest opening to work with) and put more pellets in the body, limbs and head until its the weight you want it to be. Admittedly Ive also used rice to do this, lol. Works just the same! Most artists will have the pellets already in the doll contained in some sort of way rather than loose with the stuffing, but I have seen loose sand used as weight also and that made a big mess, so if you arent 100% sure what you will find inside, lay a towel or something down on your workspace in case of spills. I got from Ashton drake it was supposed to come dec 23 2020 it came SUPER early I orderd 2 days ago and got it on dec 13 Ashton drake is amazing! Ashton drake has the same dolls from Bradford I’m pretty sure its called are they scamming?

Fake are stolen kits and people do not allow you into the reborn community as they would prefer to support the artists rather then the people who have stolen the artists work...

Ok, so I saw a baby I absolutely fell in love with but hearing some discussion if I found a reputable artist to make this baby, I do want a few minor changes, the baby would be considered a knock off because it was made by someone else. If I could find the original artist I would be happy to work with them. I don't think I can add a photo
The knock offs refer to the kit being stolen, There are 2 artists in the reborn world. Artists that sculpt / make the kits and artists that hand paint the kits. Some do both ☺️ A knock off is when the kits are reproduced by someone without rights to it and sold. A lot of the ones on the websites in this video are stolen sculpts with factory paint.

both paradise galleries and ashton drank are good starter reborns, they are not to good if you are looking for a baby that looks more real, hope this helps
Yes, as Olivia said they are a great alternative for a reborn doll. They are a factory made so not quite as realistic, but hey they are cheaper and also Not stolen/ Knock offs!
Ahhh, I just had a look and only saw 2, I dont know if they are legit Bradford exchange dolls though? Maybe just use PayPal, But they are possibly knock offs. I am not certain.
My birthday is November 6th and my mom said she can get me a reborn for my bday! We found a site called vinean reborns and we thought it was a good site my mom doesn't have hundreds of dollars and we need a good site to buy from.
Its the holiday season + Covid stock may be low but yes they are factory made dolls, they aren't being hand made. They are still a great choice instead of buying a stolen sculpt/ fake reborn. Sorry you have to wait, I hope it comes quicker then expected

That doesn’t exist. You’ll either get a fake and not be welcomed into the community. Or you have to pay thousands of dollars for a goood quality one. If you search hard enough on reborn Facebook groups you might find a cheap boo boo baby with things wrong with it. Goodluck
Reborns.com is almost the only non scam website, I have found a few others but I can’t be 100% sure yet. Most artist use Facebook but there are still scammers there..
You can Buy Reborn dolls in cloth and silicone. As for the dolls in these videos it is best that you do your own research as I am not sure which one you are talking about. :)
