In order to remain visible and avoid collisions, what are the most effective colors you can use on your hang glider to remain easily seen by other pilots? This video explores color options and explains color theories in order to have the most distinctive airfoil possible, to keep you and other pilots safe in the air. Honestly I'm not sure if it makes him more visible or not, it may catch your attention faster though. Usually seeing the stickers lets you know who it is. I don't think I've ever been head on and level with him, which is where almost everyone is the most difficult to spot.

I chose red, yellow and white for my Airborne Fun2 (a single surface hang glider that is ideal for coastal soaring) for safety reasons but as you make clear in your video it can be a tricky choice. For example, when you're checking-out the landing area from up high and the houses below have light coloured roofs, a (mostly) white hang glider or paraglider can be hard to see.

It's still really hard to spot anyone with any background, even when you know where about they are. I've heard my fluro orange with white leading edge is very easy to spot. It must be true because I've had helicopters divert for me from a distance. Strobes probably would help the most.
