I think I have purchased no less than a dozen SafeStyle glasses since you did this video (several for me inside / outside, home and work - plus many for family and even a secret Santa gift for our schools farm assistant). But sadly they still can't do multi focal prescription lenses..... Oh and BTW - excellent for resisting scratches in the school workshop. Been wearing a set for over a year and still fine. Replacing them for 2024 only because the blue colouring has peeled a bit (pro tip - don't suck / chew on the ends).

Yeah, I need one of those...reading glasses or those 'safety' glasses that fog up ain't cutting it! Are those going to fog up you think? Btw, your intro with the rain, thunder and lightning sounds and (I'm assuming) your baby boy is absolutely wizardly...love it!

That intro is Little man on his first day on Earth. If you look closely it’s raining inside the room with him, I didn’t know how to mask that out yet, and I think I like it too much now to change it. :) The glasses do have a hydrophobic coating on them. I find with prolonged mask wear the fog does build up a bit, but not enough to block your vision. For short periods they’re brilliant.

How are they for "casual scratches'? I asked at SpecSavers when I got my last lot of glasses done (4 pairs, don't ask). They said their protective lenses are good for stopping pointy things from entering your eye, but they tend to scratch up pretty easily if not looked after well (check).

@@graduallywizardly Eh been busy with work and life. And Warcraft :) As I said offline I'm visiting SpecSavers Tuesday so hopefully they are nice and give me my script and I might order some of these. Bit hard to tell the real difference between the two main models on their website. They way they are photographed they look very much the same.

Soooooooooooo I spent another 3 seconds on the SafeStyle website and saw that the Fusions are "our new rectangular larger style". Apparently 6mm bigger for the fat headed tradie - which is of course ME. So Fusions it is.

@@graduallywizardly As I was playing around in the site this evening I may or may not have just ordered a pair of black fusions with clear reg lenses. Then during checkout they offered a clear frame set for $20. So I guess now I’ll try them out, see if I am cool enough to pull off clear frames, and see if I like the fit. Then I’ll pony up for some script ones. Worse case a couple of extra safety glasses.
