3 years from the video and still 100% helpful!!! Safety 1st should send a link to this video in their “manual” that only they understand 😝 thank you!!!
Thank you so much for making this video. As a new grandmother it's been a while since installing a car seat. The video by the car seat company was so complicated and moved quickly on needed details while being specificon obvious steps. Your video was so much better to understand.
I really want to thank you from the bottom of My heart for this help. I was struggling trying to figure out how to instal the top tether on a rear sitting and I couldn’t figure out so I ended up installing it as face forward even though my baby turned 6 months old today. I read the manual on my pria max 3in 1 and it said he should be rear sitting until he’s at least 1 year old. I googled installation help for rear sitting for almost a week until I found your video. So thank you, thank you, thank you. Now I am relieved that my baby is safe in a car seat that was installed in the right way for his age, weight and height. Thank you! Couldn’t stop thinking about getting on an accident with him forward sitting and loosing my precious little one, I would never forgive myself. Thank you and God bless you
You really should keep them rear facing as long as possible regardless of their legs being bent. Even adults are safer rearfacing. My daughter is 4 and still rear facing
I also can add you to a cpst carseat group. (Child passenger safety technician). I'm do glad your precious babe is back rear facing. You're a great parent ❤
Thank you for this video!! I have twins and I was struggling with the directions that came with the car seats! After your video it was 100x easier to put them in!
just got 2 of these the other day. set them up for our 3m old and over night the anchor strap loosened. now the anchor strap and harness wont tighten. Thank you for this video! Im going to try it tonight!
Is it okay if the car seat can be pushed “forward”? Like not where the belt path is, but if I push on the back of the car seat it tips forward. Idk if I’m explaining that well or not lol. It doesn’t move side to side, but I can literally tip it over just by pressing on the backrest
@@marissaghost If it’s a rear facing seat and you’re pressing on the top edge/headrest part of the car seat, yes it will always move toward the back of the vehicle because that’s actually how it’s intended to work. The seat can’t go forward (toward the front of the vehicle) in a crash like our bodies would, that’s the beauty of rear facing! So since it can’t physically go forward much it will tip back during a crash and fall back down as it rides down the crash force. Always test for less than 1” of movement AT the belt path, not on the top part of the seat. Let me know if I’m not understanding, please! 🙏❤️
Wow this was extremely helpful! I had to help my very angered husband who was using the hooks. I used the towel and middle seat with the belt. It worked perfectly! 😊
Fits perfectly rear-facing in our truck, which has a slightly smaller back seats. ru-vid.comUgkx6_FKRYB2ClSPRyjcd8HptiCS3EiQoNX4 Feels as comfy and plush as our Graco Contender carseat.
These same instructions are valuable for the Sam club purchased safety 1st everfit dlx "Safety 1st EverFit All-in-One Car Seat". Thank you! There were no instructions in the box and finding them on their vendor website was impossible.
I’ve had this car seat for about 2 year.... and I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve been using it wrong. Just bought another for my youngest and I’m gonna fix them both RN. Thank you!!!!
Thank you just installed a pink one in this method and it worked out perfectly I did not need the towel as it met with the bite of the seat Thank you so much
I just installed this seat last night and i used the small anchors and the seatbelt but still didnt feel it was tight enough. I knew there was something i was missing and did not feel comfortable. Thanks. I'll do the seatbelt tighten trick in the morning. My issue should be over. I was almost ready to return the seat
I saw the other video by her and couldn’t comment but this is God sent !! Mine kept tipping over and I’m hoping I can try this and it works 🙏🏽 Not sure if it’s just my car because it’s so small and cramped in the back seat for such a large car seat
Yes hi. Some of the convertible seats have a little bar underneath them?? And I’m wondering which way the little bar needs to go with a rear facing seat??
Tried both the anchor and seatbelt method and got them both as tight as I possibly could but somehow it still moves slightly around a inch left and right but not forward and back
Hi Tiaa thank you for your question. This particular car seat manufacturer says to only use one or the other. It probably goes back to crash testing. Most of our U.S. model car seats are crash tested with the seat belt OR anchors. Not both at the same time. Lower anchors were originally designed to be another alternative for caregivers not an additional installation method to the seat belt. It is extremely rare for a car seat manufacturer to allow car seat installation with both the seat belt and the anchors. And we must always follow manufacturer instructions for safety and liability purposes. Also, sometimes I can get a good install with a seat belt but not a good install with lower anchors and vice versa, based on the shape of both the car seat and the vehicle. So I will end up choosing the method in which I got the best installation. Hope this helps.
You’re explaining things better than the factory video which is useless but my seat is still able to move way over to the side . I’m not sure what to do.
I need help. I have this carseat installed rear facing but it tilts on every little turn. Is this normal? It doesn't seem safe and I've heard this seat is notorious for this. How can I prevent this?
So is it safe to put my baby in this seat because I looked up carseats for infants and this was one of the seats that popped up, I just wanna know is it safe before I buy it
Honestly i struggled for 20 minutes with the latches then was happily satisfied with this way in 5. They should fire their latch designers and pay you royalties.
So my child is 10 months and I set the car seat to number 2, but when she falls asleep in it her head hangs foward, and that's because she can sit up unassisted so should I just keep it reclined on number 3?
@@ribbons1389 I was talking to a friend who was not an expert, but has been a stay-at-home mom and been a lot of research. She just got up in there put her knee down in it and pulled it tight. I think that's all you can do.
