I don't think that particular Gilmore Girls clip is that great, but the show overall (and that season rather especially) was very persuasive. When the older woman in that clip, Emily Gilmore, angrily declares why she's hurt and lashing out a few seconds after the endof that clip, it leaves the younger woman, Lorali Gilmore, pretty devistated. She demonstrates that devistation with not much more than a haunted expression, which I found paticularly powerful in contect but which wouldn't have been much of a clip.
