Magical. Incredible performance in one of my favorite songs from this album, I used to play this album hundreds and times in my Air Force dormitory room. Helped to cope between break ups and loneliness. Got to see them play live finally in about 2010 in Canada.
I was there, and on the first part of their performance, the sound was low, and a lot of the Canadians and everyone else started a chant, louder, louder, louder! They eventually got the sound right and it was a great show. I was to the left and back from the Canadian flag you see in the videos. The very first Rock Am Ring. Beautiful weather, great bands and a great concert!
Absolutely great! And the clothes from ´85 are very important for the tour in 2012: tiger-trousers, leggins, muscle-shirts, long hair and a mustache, like Steve!!! Ooh, I got all of them. I´m ready for the tour :)))

Yes, Jim Gilmour even once was their distributor for Canada! 🙂 Myself, I always think "moog" when I hear or read "SAGA"; There are *three* Memorymoogs on that stage plus a Multimoog for bass (sitting atop a Roland Jupiter-8)! 😃
Cool, didn't know Gilmour was the PPG distributor. I knew Steve was the Simmons distributor at one point. Shows the respect these guys garnered in the industry
The sound guy forgot to turn up the volume on Steve's synth drum, so that 'click-a-click-a-click' shuffle beat from the original recording is missing here; You can still see him play it though, from 0:46 onwards. Pretty amazing version otherwise! 🤩
@@mightyV444 This was recorded back in 1985. Back then, they didn't have LCD digital video screens. TV's back then had big bulky Cathode Ray Picture Tubes or CRT's for short in them that people had to rely on for entertainment at home. Not to mention, these TV's worked off an analogue signal, which meant picture quality wasn't so great. And because some of these TV's could weigh quite a bit, due to the weight of the CRT picture tube, they weren't suitable for using on concert tours by promoters. All of which meant that back then, artists and groups had to actually get up on stage and perform their show to earn their pay cheque. They couldn't rely on some video screen or screens to do all the work for them. That is unless you were Van Halen. Van Halen was known for having a very restrictive contract rider that allowed them to trash up dressing rooms and back out of gigs whilst still getting paid for them if they found one brown M&M in a bowl of M&M's that was required by the terms of their contract rider to be placed in their dressing room by the promoters. The wording was real simple in ALL CAPS. "NO BROWN ONES."
Was für ein furchtbarer bühnenaufbau, 30 Meter zwischen Band und Publikum, mit erste Reihe war da nix weil man da vor nem schwarz abgehängten bauzaun steht und gar nix mehr sieht 😅🤣
