Visiting the famous Echo Valley & Hanging Coffins of Sagada in the Cordillera Region involves a short hike which usually takes around 20 to 30 minutes from St. Mary the Virgin Church down to the hanging coffins. Going to the hanging coffins is easier since the course is going downhill so expect it to be challenging when climbing back up. Took an hour for us to complete the entire course.
How to get to the Hanging Coffins:
First step is to drop by Sagada’s Tourist Information Center which is located beside the public market.
Once at the Tourist Info. Center, you’ll be asked to pay for an accident insurance and the registration/ environmental fee. You will also be given a copy of their tour guide associations and standard rates of tour guide and shuttle fees.
CHARGES/FEES
Registration fee: 100 per person (one time payment for all Sagada tourist spots. Make sure to keep your receipt since it might be asked when entering other attractions)
Accident Insurance: 50 pesos for 2 days
Guide fee: 300 Pesos (paid to the tour guide/guide association
Entrance fee:10 pesos (to be paid upon starting the hike)
