One of the most underrated album of the 2010s. I feel bad for Saigon. His story should've been told in 2007 but his label was cancer. That's why all his beats on TGSNT were sounding a lil dated. Still sounds dope tho
I think Saigon is the realest rapper in this generation. I havent even been a fan for that long, only by a off chance i watched a episode of Entourage and was like 'Whats this dope ass song'? Glad i did he is now one of my favourite rappers!
I loved this album. Somehow even though I used to bump this song, it hasn't had the replay value years later that other songs like "Bring me Down", "Clap", "Our Babies", and the one with Q-Tip have. I don't even know why, this song is amazing.
Been waiting for this album since 2002 when I copped "The best of Saigon" mixtape. I'm happy that everything is comin' together for the kid. Looking foward to this!
saigon is bringing some real concious hip-hop to this world bout time to, I just hope that when he blows he stays real unlike other rappers in the game (who started off talking real but now rap bout hoes, drink, jets and partying ect) Saigon rules right bout now, can't think of anyone else to compete!

He actually comes from the same genre of hiphop eastcoast/nyc style of rap. Whilest I can see the similarity there in them being from the same genre of hiphop, his flow, how he combines rhymes, and especially his message on on another level then Jay-zed.
Check Just Blaze track record. He is up there with DRE, nobody mixes the loud horns like this. Saigon making some real sense with the lyrical content. The world needs more of this. Crazy.

I love how saigon is so left field from all these other rappers who just talk wreckles on the mic. Saigon is that dude..whoever disliked this is gotta be out of their minds smh.
People need to (re)appreciate the shit out of Saigon and give him the platform and love he deserves. Better late than never. Especially in these desperate days. His voice is powerfull let alone his skills as a lyricist.
The problems are systematic. A child can't be responisibe for what his parents are doing. But if you grew up rich, you more than ANYONE have a responsibility to say flat out injustice is WRONG, once you're grown, and work AGAINST the system which is fundamentally unjust and which you prospered from.

I stopped listening to rap a while back. Occasionally I go back to the songs I grew up on, but this song right here brings back all the good memories I have of a dying art. This guy is all about lyrics with a real powerful message. Did anyone notice he hardly said any cuss words or talked about how much dope he sells or killing or banging major women? These artists now days could learn a thing or two from this man!!
