Great skippering there. Coming into your dock reminded me of an old trucker I used to know. His truck (car carrier) brakes overheated coming down a mountain into a town. Runaway truck. He ran across some lawns of homes etc. before he came to a halt. Scary feeling. (I love that your old Hai is still providing fun on the water after all these years!) I helped my Dad restore a 1958 Knarr back in the 1970's. I love the old sailboats from your area of the world! It's great some are still going.
Thank you! Haha and thanks for the story. :) these things are great fun. I was reading a book about lokal boat building amd they referred the Hai design as american style (w carvel planking and slender forms) as the traditional local styles were different. Oh wow a Knarr!
@@VilleSuonurmiSailing The Knarr had varnished mahogany topsides. Gorgeous. A tree fell on it in the boatyard, and it was towed out into Lake Ontario for a watery grave.
