Just discovered “y’all!” Love your content! I escaped WI 14 years ago and am so grateful to call the Lowcountry and Beaufort County, home. Love your channel!
So this is the same place that the Murdaugh murders happened. That must've really shook up the town im sure. Great video and I've been enjoying the channel since i found it a couple months ago! 😊✌🏼
Oliver, that was very interesting. The mechanical engineering of that bridge is so awesome! Thank you for sharing that process. When are you and Stephany going to the beach?
Thanks guys..how interesting to watch the bridge open from your point of view...I LOVE the coast...beach..I'm in upstate SC but I don't get to come down anymore..so thank you for your videos..I feel like I'm at the beach again ❤❤
Thank you for a great video. If you make another video, could you please encourage weekend boaters to monitor channel 16 on their VHF radios ? As a sailboat captain, it was great to hear you explain why the sailboat at the bridge was facing the other direction and requires more room to navigate. Many times I have called weekend boaters to let them know my intentions well before my maneuver only to get no responce and a a near miss which could have easily been avoided with a simple communication. Thanks again for a great video you have great opportunity to educate .
I'd be glad to mention that. Unfortunately, most boaters are not using VHF radios, and they don't understand the skill it takes to maneuver big vessels in water currents and winds.
That was cool seeing the bridge open and when will you have dolphin t-shirts back in stock for 5x I love my shirts really big. I absolutely love the blue crab and I wear it a lot. I love dolphins and I want to buy one
Been missing you guys. Trying to figure how to let you know it. Love this. I have seen where they raise bridges to let sailboats through. Never seen a bridge swing out like this one. Hope you are doing well.😊
Really enjoyed this Video!! Really neat to see the Turn Bridge, never saw one actually in motion. I enjoy watching the views and seeing Tow Boat assist Sail Boat. Not living close to Ocean and limited exposure to it in my life I feel as if I get to experience it thru y’all’s eyes (Camera). Thanks so much for sharing this really enjoyable experience.
here in North Carolina those tugs are 4 2,000 a pop the last one I saw they were having drinks on the stern with the auto pilot on and not paying attention
Wonder if the boats that need to come through would have to pay for that ?? It’s pretty nice down there as always thanks for showing the people who really WISH THEY could be on the water or shelling
Sea Tow in Louisiana annual fee us $210. 24/7 for towing help, need fuel, dead battery jump, etc etc PLUS boat trailer assist: flat tire, broken axel, tow out if ditch, etc, etc… DON’t LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!! Member for 16 years
Very nice. I have a small 13ft motor boat, and I would like to take it down to Beaufort. I am wondering, where is it safe to take a small boat over there? I want to avoid the open ocean. Is there a map that can show me where its OK to take a small boat? Thanks
Where are you coming from? I try to look for days that the wind is not supposed to be too strong. I use an app. called Windfinder to see what's predicted.
But if you want to fish off a public dock you better have a fat wallet $ 300 if you want to go out on a dock thats less than 100 feet long . But $ 30 to fish off the bank. Seems like they would have a bathemtry plot tto know where the channel is 😮
Beaufort SC has some great free public docks for people that are looking for a place to fish or crab. We haven't heard of anybody paying those types of fees to fish from public docks around here.
