I felt so pampered by Holland America. You can be in the cheapest cabin on the ship and be treated like a VIP. And the free room service breakfast arrived right on time every morning - best way to wake up is with that knock on the door delivering coffee!
So glad you are getting to do this. Would be such a great birthday trip. Or just a get away. Always been my dream to go to Alaska but I doubt I will ever get to. But I am enjoying it thru your videos. Enjoy and stay safe.

Omgosh the scenery!! Loved the Rolling stone lounge. That creaking freaks me out.. did you get sea sick with all that rocking and rolling? You both looked great. I’d be in the spa getting the works lol😅

Going to Alaskan waters can be ruff at times. Yes its very cold at times especially at Glacier Bay, 😢dress warm. We took Princess Cruise line and ship was nice. We had music by the main pool, different entertainment in each bar lounge, many and different events we could enjoy. Food was good. Buffet was ok, but a buffet is what it is. Just find your happy places, hopefully whales will appear and enjoy each other. Stay warm and safe. Gods blessings.❤

The whale sighting was exciting, tho brief. You'll see more I'm sure. I've never been on a cruise. I could not take the motion, as I get vertigo very easily with motion. So now I can be on a virtual cruise with you guys. It's very interesting. Thanks for taking us along.
I managed to fit two evening dresses, jewelry, dress shoes, swimsuit, undergarments, rain boots, sneakers, flipflops, socks, wool hat, warm gloves, two pair of blue jeans, long merino wool underwear, two sweaters, three nice t- shirts, nightshirt, rain top and pants and a down coat in my carry on . (My trip was the middle of September). My camera, binoculars, electronics, fanny pack and toiletries were in a waterproof backpack that fits under the airplane seat . Cruise packing is an art. PS, I liked the food, service and entertainment better on Princess Cruise lines back in 2015. I don't know how Princess is these days.
I think it's nice to dress up! The ship looks so lovely and the food looks pretty tasty! Your room looks bigger than the new years cruise. Whale watching sounds great! I think the Alaska Cruise on Holland America sounds like my cup of tea! Enjoying this vlog!

I don’t like hard cookies! LOL 😂 I make the best homemade oatmeal raisin, gingerbread cookies, and what my mom used to call. Ginger Krinkle cookies. Also a great sugar cook with nice icing. And I’ll tell you something … these are cookies that will melt in your mouth and not break your teeth. Thanks for sharing this part of your cruise looking forward to the next video.

i can see there is a difference between a tropical cruise versus the alaskan, just for myself i can take the cold so i would go tropical, being from Chicago we are going to St. Augustine this July, i love the ocean.......i have to add i love your blue dress Dawn, my favorite color!
I am enjoying seeing what it’s like being on a cruise ship. I have been on smaller vessels but not any luxury cruise ships. I am not a foodie. I am a let’s eat on the run type. It’s all about what I can see. However, I enjoy you guys!!!!
Do they charge you extra for room service? I didn’t know if there’s a service charge or up charge on the meal itself. What about dinner , if you had room service for that? How does tipping work when they bring luggage, room service, etc . Is it up to you to tip them exch time or is it added to bill at then? Lots of questions, ive never been on a cruise. Id love to one day! Im alone , so there’s that issue. I wouldn’t mind it, I’d just not want to go to the formal night or fancy dinner. I was wondering if you can have the nice dinner brought to room, when I saw it talk about room service.
When you went to dinner, was not not part of your ticket price? I guess the regular buffet etc is, but not the one you went to in this video? I really enjoy this series of going along with yall.
