Holland America is a great cruise line. It’s geared more for adults, so there are few, if any, kids👍🏼 I can’t wait to see all the upcoming adventures! Blessings🙏

Thank you for sharing this information. We went on a cruise a long time ago and we hated it. I like how this cruise seems a lot more quiet, and peaceful. You definitely had me at the balcony view. WOW! I also love the fact that the pool area is heated, so people can swim even when it's cold out. I agree a longer cruise is the way to go!!

"The Sun is bi polar". What a great comment. When we were in Skagway last fall, there had been a landslide from the rock cliff at the main dock. they parked some old train cars to try and keep the rocks from hitting the dock/ships. Even though we parked at the dock, we had to water shuttle to town as they did not want us walking along the dock. Sorry you missed Skagway, but Sitka is beautiful and we could see whales from our parked ship Great videos of your adventure

I work at a travel agency and boy am I happy to hear you actually read that they can change the itinerary. You wouldn't believe how many people fight that ALL the time! Despite what it says in terms and conditions. Long story short, it doesn't work out too well for them. Chances are they cancelled it for a good reason!

Glad I found your video! We’re traveling on this ship next May 2025 on the Alaskan/Denali cruise! How fun do other people decorate their doorways? I’ve only been on one to the Caribbean 20 years ago and don’t remember seeing this done. Nice to see how easy the embarkation went for you! Happy Birthday Dawn great way to celebrate your special day! Sorry your stop at Skagway was changed. We already made reservations for excursions in Skagway!! Fingers crossed. I’m so excited to go on this trip!!!

What a huge bummer you did not get to go to that one place you really wanted to go. Kudos. Y'all handled it much better than I would...which is probably why I don't do cruises. Too many variables. Too many things that could change without much notice. When I plan something out and I'm very comfortable with that plan (especially when I really want to do certain things) I don't adapt very well if the plan has to change and the less time I have to accept it the worse it is. That's just my personality

I am so excited for both.you are off to great cruise. Alaskan is amazing. I have only been on 2 cruises so far. Both on Holland American and my first was the Alaskan cruise out f Seattle this was back in like 2007. I was in my 20,s. It is older crowd. But we loved it- more sophisticated we could pick whatever we wanted to do with the crowds.

We sailed on the Volendam last May and steak was offered every night on the Lido Marketplace because that is what our son ate every night.

You will have to go back and take the sea cruise and land tour. Holland America is the best. Skagway is my favorite port..so sorry..I like Siitka as well. Elimis are high end personal products. In the old days there were no mini bars..hate them. We had mini refrigerators.

Loved my Alaska cruise on Holland America. It was my first cruise and it took me a couple of hours to get used to asking for ice cream and not needing to pay! (Real scooped ice cream.)

I was on an older smaller Holland America ship, the Eurodam. Not as stylish as the newer ships but spotlessly clean. And those beds are the best! I like that they provide a firm pillow and a soft pillow for each person.

Walking around on our own in Sitka was so peaceful and beautiful. The snow-capped volcano as a backdrop, the historic Russian Orthodox cathedral, the waterfront walking path to the Sitka National Historic Park with the totem trail! Just gorgeous.

I like Sitka much better than Skagway. You won't be disappointed. You got lucky on the customs. Last year, we walked three miles and waited four hours in line to clear customs in the same building you cleared customs in . There were three cruise ships loading at the same time, thousands of passengers. It was a zoo . You two timed it right. P S. I was also on the Nieu Amsterdam last September. Nice ship. Be sure and book your Sitka shore excursion right away. I had an excursion cancelled the night before and when I tried to book a new excursion, everything was full. I ended up finding a non cruise ship affiliated tour when I got off the ship

A standard size suit case will fit perfectly. And big blue fit in the other closet.
